Lung cancer (extreme weight loss)

Hi everyone!

I'm a 19 year old young man from Portugal (so forgive me if I make mistakes).

So, my Godfather has lung cancer (small cells) and (as you would expect) our family is completly devastated.

He has had 2 sessions of chemotherapy and because of his EXTREME weight loss the doctors say that he can't proceed with the treatment.

He has been without chemotherapy for about two months now and what is more bizarre is that he just CAN'T gain weight...He eats and he eats and he eats but nothing...he just can't gain weight...

Can you please give me some advices?

Time isn't our friend so we need to hurry but we just don't know what to do.

Can he drink boost or ensure ?

We tried ensure...didn't work

When it comes to boost, I don't know what it is.

Dr's have medications too to help you gain

Alot of shakes, ice cream, whatever has calories, as stated boost ensure are high in calories and protein.. Talk with Dr
