Alternative Medicines

Hi All

My name is Gary and in August 2012 I was diagnosed with Lung Cancer. I have now had 3 lots of chemo and one lot of Radiotherapy. Not a lot of options still open to me and I am looking into various things one of which is alternative medicines.

Has anyone tried either Cannibas oil or Frankencence oil and did either help at all.

Any other ideas would be a great help.

Thanks

Gary

Hi Garry,

At the moment according to Cancer Research UK there isn’t enough reliable evidence to prove that cannabinoids – whether natural or synthetic – can effectively treat cancer in patients, although research is ongoing around the world.

scienceblog.cancerresearchu.... The same is suggested for Frankincense oil

Are they intending to operate after your chemo?

Good luck, this is a very friendly and helpful site so keep looking on it.

I'm off for my second session of chemo, blood test first, then the bad bit late afternoon. Luckily my daughter is taking me again.

Enjoy yiur weekend.
