They seek it here, they seek it there, but Uniphyllin is nowhere!
I’ve just totted up the time I’ve spent this week trying to get my usual Uniphyllin Continus 300 and it’s come to more than 20 hours of ringing pharmacies and doctors and repeatedly explaining, as clearly as possible, that all I wanted was to get the Uniphyllin. I had put in a prescription request before

Ablation under general anesthesia with obstructive sleep apnea
Hi everybody, If someone has sleep apnea, is it it safe to undergo an RF Afib ablation under general anesthesia? Especially if the patient doesn’t have or use CPAP?

CPAP MACHINE
Morning all, a question or two on CPAP machines. Graham is now having a trial of one, we are only on day 3 and last night was a bit better, but although he is getting to sleep, apart from the several times he gets up to the loo!, I am having to get up to adjust the mask, or in a couple of instances

seeking recommendations on CPAP machine temperature/humidity settings
I am still trying to get used to my CPAP machine (AirSense 11 by Reliable Respiratory). The Auto settings don't work for me. The air is too dry and I can't sleep for more than about 45 min. The temperature in the room is usually 62-64F (16-18C deg) and the humidity is about 60%-70%. How humid should

CPAP Pillow
Hey, It's been a year now I'm using a CPAP machine as I suffer from sleep apnea. But most of the days, the CPAP tubes and masks are being misplaced while sleeping. I'm in the way of depression as I lost my sleep. So my doctor recommended me to use a CPAP pillow. And I checked to buy and found various

PD and Sleep Apnea
I was diagnosed with moderate sleep apnea in the fall of last year (cronic fatigue), but the machine has not been available in my area, and are just now starting to arrive. So it made me wonder is there a connection with sleep apnea and PD, and if you use a CPAP or similar device, have you seen any benefits

First time on this forum
I am a 68 years old male with insomnia and apnea, both obstructive and central, for years. I just started using a CPAP machine and I am not thrilled. Looking to connect with people with similar health problems and learn more about their experience.

Confused, angry, sad
I was diagnosed with CKD last week. My GFR is 45. I have no risk factors for it. The only thing I can come up with is the Phillips CPAP machine I have used for years which has been recalled. The machines filters break down giving off carcinogenic gases and particulates which can cause...SURPRISE kidney

Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) and RLS - article
My recent sleep study concluded I have mild-to-moderate obstructive sleep apnea (OSA), in addition to RLS, of course. It turns out there is a higher than average prevalence of RLS in OSA patients (~8%), although they are not causally related. I am awaiting delivery and fitting of a CPAP machine (there

Phyllocontin Withdrawal. / Uniphyllin Continus
Good afternoon all. This is my first post so apologies if it is inappropriately placed. Does anyone know ? Why Phyllocontin was withdrawn ? I have only heard 'no longer commercially available' but would like to know more. Whether there is any research available on the impact of the withdrawal of Phyllocontin

Irreversible brain damage?
I have been taking Pramipexole for about 15years. For the last five of those years the dose has been 6mg daily. Six times the maximum dose. I spent six months cutting back and for the last three months I have been taking 3mg. I also take 100 mg tramadol to help with withdrawal and augmentation and

Re learning to use CPAP
I was using a full face CPAP, took me a while to get used to it, several months when I was diagnosed with poly myalgia rheumatica PMR, which affected my shoulders and for about 6 weeks I couldn't use my mask. Now that's under control I am having problems re learning how to use my mask and I just can't
