Post Ablation complications
Had persistent fast AFib since Nov 23, decided to go private route as my health was deteriorating. Echocardiogram Jan 24 showers severe mitral regurgitation, and ejection fraction 28%. Lots more drugs added to the cocktail and now under the care of both a cardiologist and an Electrophysiologist. Drugs

A coarse liver?
I had an ultrasound liver scan - as my liver was damaged by taking azaphoprine that treated my ulcerative colitis. After liver biopsy They had diagnosed liver cirrhosis 4 months ago, but now ‘a coarse liver in keeping with chronic liver disease’ What does this mean? Do I still have liver cirrhosis

How to get out of AF advice please
I’ve undergone two cardioversions, and each time, about 10-11 weeks later, I’ve reverted back into atrial fibrillation (AF), despite initially being in normal sinus rhythm post-procedure. Following the first cardioversion, I remained in normal rhythm for 12 weeks before slipping back into AF, which

Advice for treatment of liver metastases.
Hi Ladies I finished chemo in February for second recurrence. Unfortunately my CA125 was rising, was 9 the 27 now 55 and it's a good indicator for me that something is happening. Had a CT and it shows one tumor 2.4cms in my liver. All clear otherwise. Lots of emotions. Disappointed but relieved it's

Edoxaban and dreams and nightmares ...... Part 2
Been figuring the best way to write my thanks to you all for your comments on Part 1, so, tryin’ this. Whilst I have been reading your comments I have also been reading ‘The paper in the packet’ for each of the drugs that I originally referred to. It does seem as though each of these three DOAC's side

My cholesterol was always low until I went through the dreaded menopause which turned me upside down and inside out! My anxiety shot through the roof and my cholesterol with it! I’ve always been slim fit and healthy. Never smoked and drank minimal alcohol. My diet is very healthy. No red meat or processed

clopidogrel
I’m taking clopidogrel and aspirin following a Watchman implant. I feel fatigued all day, foggy—just as I did on metoprolol and did even more so on amiodarone. I also bruise more easily and bleed more flowingly on clopidogrel than on apixaban, which I stopped when I started a three-month course of

Elevated Diastolic Blood Pressure & Thyroid?
I’ve read that thyroid issues can increase diastolic blood pressure while systolic remains normal. I’ve been seeing a slight increase / trend with this. Has anyone else seen this and it meant levothyroxine increase needed?

Edoxaban and dreams and nightmares
Hi all, Hope you all have a great Easter ... plenty of chocolate and bunnies ..... or even warm, sunny, dry weather ! Have any of you who take Edoxaban experienced the worst most sleep destroying nightmares of a violent topic ? Or even any nondescript dreams or nightmares. I did put a post on here

Unusual positional ectopics and PAF
A few days ago, on turning onto my right side to go to sleep, after about 30 minutes I noticed palpitations (rather “heavy”ectopics and a slower than usual heartbeat which was “stuttering”) This lasted for several hours until I fell asleep. Last night this pattern repeated again, but this time when

Post Ablation follow up.
This site is a wealth of knowledge and common sense so I wonder if people could share their experiences with me.I had a PV ablation for Afib in May 2023 in an excellent Leicestershire hospital and had brilliant care but since then have not been seen by anyone - but I have been given a date of September

8Fast Regular Heartrate
HiI was diagnosed with Atrial Fibrillation about 3 years ago and I am on a low dose of a betablocker (Bisoprolol 1.25mg daily). I seem to go for quite long gaps without an episode and sometimes I'm not even sure if it is an Afib episode - I have other arrythmias so it can be hard to differentiate. For

Help please
Would anyone be able to recommend an endo in North Yorkshire? I've sent my GP lots of research about T3 and bradycardia and other heart problems because he's told me it's not necessary to test. So far he hasn't been in touch. He's also not happy about my TSH which he considers too low at 0.13. I've sent

Cannàbis CBD Oil
Been talking to a CBD retailer. He says he sells the stuff made direct from the plant rather than the synthesized commercial version made in a lab. Quite expensive at £65 for a month supply. Has anyone had any success with it, esp in relation to removing stiffness and sleep?

15hour wait for an ambulance
I was told by GP to call an ambulance because I had a chest ache for about 3 weeks and was having AFib at the time. I explained that it was not a pain but an ache and asked if I really did need an ambulance? She was adamant I did. Called 999 at noon - ambulance arrived 3am! Hospital trolley in corridor

12 months waiting for nothing.
yesterday I had a telephone appointment from a cardiologist that I’ve waited 12 months for. To say I’m disappointed is an understatement. The last cardiologist I spoke to, said if I lose 10% of my body weight, an ablation would be the best option. The one yesterday, told me I had to have a BMI
