So fed up
I was first diagnosed in May 23 with PAF and Bisoprolol kept everything under control under until another AFib episode in October. Since then I have been on Flecainide 50g morning and night and bisopropol 2.5 morning and night. I don’t feel my heart as much but my Apple Watch is showing an average

Cut loose from hospital support
I posted a few days ago about turning down the offer of a second ablation as I've been in NSR for 12 months. My arrhythmia nurse has just phoned and pointed out that, as I am 71, my time may be running out for the option of further ablations! Am I correct in thinking that there are plenty of people

Post Cardioversion
In my previous post I explained that my 3rd carioversion did not work even after one hour I was back into afib. However something strange is happening or at least it seems strange to me but may be normal. Five days after my cardio I got up around 2:30-3:00 am to use the loo. I could feel my heart in

amiodarone
Was admitted via A&E to hospital last October with fast AF, 174 bpm., Sob, high bp. Because of other underlying problems with CKD, doc put me on Amiodarone 200mg daily, along with Nebivolol bi-daily, replacing Bisoprolol. Was discharged after 6 days when heart rate was consistently below 80bpm. Now

Diltiazem
Had an ablation for atrial flutter last year bur still suffering from shortage of breath and episodes of AF which usually last for a couple of hours. Taking Dabigatran and Flecainide but have now been prescribed diltiazem 60mg twice a day. Has anybody had experience of diltiazem?

Hand grip training for lowering blood pressure?
Good morning all you helpful people. I’ve just heard a fascinating thing on the Zoe podcast, about hand grip strength and high blood pressure. Apparently, using a hand-held device to strengthen your hand grip over several weeks can effectively lower your blood pressure. I’ve had a look online, and it

Hello
Introducing myself, as I'll be looking through posts in the coming weeks... I'm 61, recently diagnosed with AF, but reckon I've been suffering for about 2 years. Biosprolol, Apixaban and Digoxin. Due to do the 'zaps' in 8-12 weeks.

Ac-225 results and next steps
My husband traveled to Turkey mid-January to receive Ac-225 after Pluvicto failed. In spite of high PSMA uptake and no discordance, treatment failed as the widespread disease burden was too great. His liver mets in particular has grown exponentially since August when it was first seen immediately prior

Seeking advise about an implantable loop recorder.
I am a 72 year old male in good health. I had persistent AFIB for many years – probably caused by 40 years of alcoholism. Four years ago, I quit drinking after a mild stroke and began exercising religiously and adhering to a healthy diet. A little over a year ago I had an ablation done, and now I take

Flecainide and Diltiazem
Hello fellow AFIBers, I have recently prescribed Flecainide as a replacement anti arrhythmic for Mulaq for afib along with Diltiazem as second blood pressure medications. I am interested to know if any other afiber is taking such combination and his or her side effects. thank you all

Why I stopped metoprolol
Quick summary: I’ve had one ablation, for A-fib, August 2022. All was well A-flutter began in August 2023. I’ve had five cardioversions since then, lasting from three weeks to three days. I am now in A-flutter awaiting an ablation on February 6. Success rate statistically is around 95%. Fingers crossed

Sulforaphane, Acrolein, and Parkinson's
I spend a fair amount of time re-researching things I have researched previously. With my bad memory, frequently I think I am finding something new when I am not. I just came across (again) an article on Acrolein and Parkinson's and remembered that a Broccoli Sprout beverage can clear Acrolein and
