A fib and headaches

Anyone experience headaches (top of the cranium) after Afib episode with runs of tachycardia in 90-110 bpm range . The runs are very brief 1-2 minutes before reverting back to sinus rhythm with HR back down to mid 80s. All captured on Kardia. These episodes occur upon risng from lying down. Headache lingers for more than an hour. Acetaminophen takes the edge off but doesn't alleviate it

I haven’t had that exact experience, but I have had a migraine along with aFib—one in which I landed in the ER recently. It is usually after times of dehydration and feeling extremely tired. Th ER pumped me full of fluids, and I settled right down. My headache made me so nauseous that I couldn’t drink anything at home in order to relieve my dehydration. Just a thought.

Thank you for sharing....I have a history of migraines and indeed the headache was in the usual "spot" and had some of the features of migraines...and yes hydrate, hydrate, hydrate seems to be the key !

The one (maybe two or three) episodes of afib i have had were preceded by a migraine which led to vomiting which immediately went into afib. I can only think it may be an electrolyte imbalance or magnesium deficiency or something.

Thank you. My initial Afib episode 13 years ago was accompanied by a whooping migraines that landed me in the hospital . So hard to know chicken vs egg: AF triggering migraines or vice versa. MG++ could be problem but just had labs which were ok. But couldn't hurt doubling up on my Mag supplement.
