Do I need levothyroxine?
Hi all. Have recently had a raft of symptoms, low HR, breathing issues, tiredness, sleep problems, joint pain etc. Had a test which showed Tpo antibodies of 516 and TSH of 4.9 and T4 of 12. Iron and ferritin both at the low end. My issue is that I also have a possible issue with mild cervical stenosis

Like everyone, I'm trying desperately to get my antibodies at an optimal range. I currently take 75 mcg of Tirosint and also something called T-150 by Xymogen, which my functional doc prescribed. (It's basically a bovine, multi-glandular, mineral, and herbal formula to support healthy thyroid function

New diagnosis of Hashimoto’s
Hi everyone, I found this forum while I was looking up information on Hashimoto’s and have found the information so informative and helpful for me. I knew something wasn’t right last yr, fatigue, heart palpitations, muscle aches, feeling low and anxious but I thought it was stress, I work in Cambodia

can you flip from hyper to hypo without autoimmune disease?
What could cause a switch from hyper to hypo without tpo or tg antibodies please? Both sets of antibodies have been tested numerous times and are never raised so I’m curious if something else could be going on. Thanks in advance 🙏🏽

Hot Weather Coming
I have just been outside for a 15-minute run (well wheelchair max'ing). The sun is really hot and after 15 minutes I felt I had had enough sun! Anyway the weather forecast for the weekend is hot and sunny with temperatures reaching 30C in many areas. So all us hearties, and others, should avoid prolonged

In a quandary
Hello, Late this afternoon I had an unexpected call from the nurse practitioner at my dr’s surgery regarding my HRT. In the course of our conversation - she was lovely - I took the opportunity to speak about my undiagnosed hypothyroidism (I’ve posted about my results, both from private and NHS tests

TPO antibodies positive
Hi, I am looking for advice on my latest blood test results. I have posted before but in brief, i had a baby in December, suffered with acute Thyrotoxicosis in February, went on Carbimazole, quickly became hypothyroid. For some reason my original TPO test result got lost; but my latest results show

I'm lost - no idea what I should do
I'm afraid this is going to be a long post. I have reached Liothyronine dose 60 mcg daily = 20 mcg x 3 daily. I have been on Teva because excipients in other brands caused me problems. I have a lot of other problems to consider. I have been trying to get a shoulder replacement operation for over 3

Am I hypothyroid?
I’m looking for some guidance/information as I haven’t been able to get much clarity from my GP and endocrinologist. I started having all the usual hypo symptoms about 2 years ago; feeling cold, fatigued, weight gain, low moods, brittle hair and nails, skin itching, night sweats, tinnitus, aching joints

Autoimmune thyroiditis - Hashimotos or Graves?
Ihave been talking Levothyroxine for 20 years, 100-125mcg on average. My TSH levels swing wildly from 0.05ml/UL to 16.9ml/UL but my T4 is always pretty steady at around 16pmol/L. I had my Anti Thyroglobulin Abs & Anti TPO Abs checked (by accident) - they were 17 U/ml and 119 U/ml respectively. My

1st home test Tuesday, just to clarify.
Hi, My GP has raised my levothyroxine 25mcg to 125mcg. I have taken this 2 weeks & I am still feeling pretty rotten with tiredness, memory problems, brain fog, headaches, & weight gain. I had a GP blood test a couple of weeks back, which shows TSH, vitamins, & so on, but I have ordered a basic Medicheck

Can the T3 within NDT elevate AM cortisol? And not be best thyroid med for me?
Good Morning. Is it possible that the NDT within the Armour I am taking is elevating my AM cortisol? Looking back my AM cortisol has been up about 3 years on and off. But at the moment I feel shaky inside , very weak quads and hamstrings, very poor energy ,worse than ever. I currently take 1 1/4

Advice please. Not sure how to proceed.
I am 49 and have Hashimoto's and have spent the last two years trying to find a doctor to properly treat my thyroid and help get to the root of the thyroid dysfunction. Last fall I learned I have mold and I am going through a mold protocol. My compounded NDT has been adjusted in dribs and drabs over

My thyroid battle.
I have posted on here a few times since xmas about my battle to get my hypothyroidism taken more seriously by my doctor. Due to my surgrey having major staffing issues( they turned E-Consult off for a week) I decided to switch surgeries to another one in town which my partner was registered at. Once

Help with my results please?
Hello, Firstly thank you for taking the time to read this. I would really appreciate any thoughts on my rather extensive set of numbers! I apologise for the headache but it seemed important to include all as they are really quite variable. I’ve had a history of tiredness for a few years now starting

dental infection
I have a recurring dental infection probably from a root canal. I will likely be prescribed an antibiotic. Three that have been mentioned are amoxicillin, clindamycin and ciproflaxin. I know antibiotics have been discussed here but can’t find those threads. Can anyone direct me to them, or comment
