Think I can share my success story now
With that said, I was briefly a bit of a regular in the “Suicidal” thread on another Tinnitus support forum which is probably a good indicator of how I was feeling when my tinnitus initially worsened due to
Cisplatin
chemotherapy.

Update on failing Enzalutamide
I'm thinking of Cyberknife, BAT,
Cisplatin
, PARP inhibitors and Immunotherapies. But I'm trying to keep a completely open mind on this. I wrote a book a few years ago about the rise in self treatment.

Stage 3c Ovarian Cancer initial chemo didn’t work
The Oncologist has basically said that’s it , nothing else they can give her aside from chemo treatment
Cisplatin
& Gemcitabine but they’re not confident she’s fit enough. The other option is palliative care and she’ll have 2-3months left. Has anyone had similar experience?

Clear cell reoccurrence 6-don't think I'll ever be out of the woods :(
However, it has been recommended to me I have 6 cycles of Gemcitabine and
Cisplatin
because I still have evidence of disease in various places. It wasn't the news I wanted to hear but if I'm honest knew it was coming. Ladies, do any of you have experience of this regime for CCOC reoccurrence?

Chemotherapy with Etoposide and Cisplatin
Has anyone on here had Chemo with these 2 drugs? Just wondering how you’re getting on in feeling normal? I’m 5 years post chemo and my entire body hurts from head to foot. Doctor is looking at possible Lupus but ANA test is negative. I have joint pain, muscle pain, basically pain anywhere and everywhere

Selective amino acid restriction therapy (SAART)
For example, high levels of the tripeptide glutathione (GSH) confer resistance to a wide range of anticancer drugs [57–59], including the commonly used anticancer agent
cisplatin
[60]. Inhibitors of GSH synthesis and of GSH-dependent detoxifying enzymes have been developed [58,59].

Update re: My cancer and subsequent tinnitus.
I was very briefly scared this meant more chemo and I am deathly afraid of
Cisplatin
at this point for fairly obvious reasons. Mercifully I need to have radiotherapy though, no more chemo.

antibiotics while on chemo?
I am on
cisplatin
and Gemcitabine (Gemzar) and have developed an infection near an ancient root canal that I believe has finally failed. Has anyone safely taken a basic antibiotic such as amoxicillin while on this chemo combo?

heart damage following chemotherapy
Hi, my husband had cancer 8 years ago and is in a medical study for the effect of
cisplatin
on the heart, before Christmas he had an echocardiogram which advised that the Contracticility of his heart had reduced and he has been put on medication, I wondered if there was anyone in this community that

Hello friends. It's me again. Bone Biopsy + Dr. nonsense.
He gave me 3 choices -
cisplatin
+gemcitabine, which also states it too will become resistant eventually, but in 4-5 months? 2nd, taxane (nab-pacitaxol) docetaxil (sp) and 3rd sacituzumabgovitecan-hziy, which is trodelvy and stated well, that one is going to need a lot of paperwork.

Five Common Supplements That Have Shown Benefit In Glioblastoma Studies
Moreover, the ratio of Bax/Bcl-2 was upregulated in the group of combination therapy with berberine and
cisplatin
than that with monotherapy alone. Transwell assay data showed that berberine in combination with
cisplatin
significantly decreased cell migratory ability of MCF-7 cells.

I've been in 2 rounds of chemo with
Cisplatin
+ Pexemetred with plans to add Keytruda to round 3 and 4. However, my cancer is not responding to my 2nd rounds of chemo and I have new spots in my body. The scans are "concerning" according to my doctor.

Bionic chip reveals how some antibiotics can harm kidneys
Previously, Nahmias and his team showed that a commonly used cancer drug,
cisplatin
, causes a dangerous buildup of fat in human kidneys. These key insights would not have been possible using lab mice.

PSA is increasing after 11 cycle of Docetaxel, what should we do now ?
Adding
Cisplatin
brought his PSA down to 0.890 after another 4 cycles and then he started developing hypersenstivity and complications so he stopped that Chemo therapy.

chemo side effect
I am on
cisplatin
right now after having to stop Jevetana due to side effects. One side effect I am dealing with now are numb lower lips. They feel like getting Novocain at a dentists office. Has anyone experienced this? Any suggestions on how to fix.
