Clear cell reoccurrence 6-don't think I'll ever be out of the woods :(
However, it has been recommended to me I have 6 cycles of Gemcitabine and
Cisplatin
because I still have evidence of disease in various places. It wasn't the news I wanted to hear but if I'm honest knew it was coming. Ladies, do any of you have experience of this regime for CCOC reoccurrence?

Stage 3c Ovarian Cancer initial chemo didn’t work
The Oncologist has basically said that’s it , nothing else they can give her aside from chemo treatment
Cisplatin
& Gemcitabine but they’re not confident she’s fit enough. The other option is palliative care and she’ll have 2-3months left. Has anyone had similar experience?

antibiotics while on chemo?
I am on
cisplatin
and Gemcitabine (Gemzar) and have developed an infection near an ancient root canal that I believe has finally failed. Has anyone safely taken a basic antibiotic such as amoxicillin while on this chemo combo?

Selective amino acid restriction therapy (SAART)
For example, high levels of the tripeptide glutathione (GSH) confer resistance to a wide range of anticancer drugs [57–59], including the commonly used anticancer agent
cisplatin
[60]. Inhibitors of GSH synthesis and of GSH-dependent detoxifying enzymes have been developed [58,59].

Hi, my husband had cancer 8 years ago and is in a medical study for the effect of

Five Common Supplements That Have Shown Benefit In Glioblastoma Studies
Moreover, the ratio of Bax/Bcl-2 was upregulated in the group of combination therapy with berberine and
cisplatin
than that with monotherapy alone. Transwell assay data showed that berberine in combination with
cisplatin
significantly decreased cell migratory ability of MCF-7 cells.

I've been in 2 rounds of chemo with
Cisplatin
+ Pexemetred with plans to add Keytruda to round 3 and 4. However, my cancer is not responding to my 2nd rounds of chemo and I have new spots in my body. The scans are "concerning" according to my doctor.

Update re: My cancer and subsequent tinnitus.
I was very briefly scared this meant more chemo and I am deathly afraid of
Cisplatin
at this point for fairly obvious reasons. Mercifully I need to have radiotherapy though, no more chemo.

Bionic chip reveals how some antibiotics can harm kidneys
Previously, Nahmias and his team showed that a commonly used cancer drug,
cisplatin
, causes a dangerous buildup of fat in human kidneys. These key insights would not have been possible using lab mice.

Hello friends. It's me again. Bone Biopsy + Dr. nonsense.
He gave me 3 choices -
cisplatin
+gemcitabine, which also states it too will become resistant eventually, but in 4-5 months? 2nd, taxane (nab-pacitaxol) docetaxil (sp) and 3rd sacituzumabgovitecan-hziy, which is trodelvy and stated well, that one is going to need a lot of paperwork.

PSA is increasing after 11 cycle of Docetaxel, what should we do now ?
Adding
Cisplatin
brought his PSA down to 0.890 after another 4 cycles and then he started developing hypersenstivity and complications so he stopped that Chemo therapy.

Cisplatin based chemotherapy and neck irradiation for cancer has caused Parkinsonism/MSA symptoms in my husband and no diagnosis yet. Help.
My husband received treatment for head and neck cancer 10 years ago. He’s in remission but the long term effects have caused problems. Now, he struggles with severe orthostatic hypotension; dizziness when standing up and labile blood pressure when sleeping. It’s hard to determine why his swallowing

Anxious about radiotherapy
I was thinking that I might need a couple of sessions of radiotherapy after finishing my chemo but have just been told that I’ll have 25 sessions over 5 weeks with 2 further chemo (
cisplatin
) in weeks 1 and 4.

NEWS! Scientists develop nanoparticles that can cross the blood-brain barrier
"The researchers then filled the particles with
cisplatin
, a commonly used chemotherapy drug. When these particles were coated with the targeting peptide, they were able to effectively kill glioblastoma tumour cells in the tissue model."
