Help with NAFLD good foods
Hi Everyone, new to this forum. I would like to see a dietician but suspect I would be turned down on the NHS. Do people eat certain foods that they know are good for the liver? I have diabetes too and struggle to keep everything on an even keel. I don't eat alot of meat, more fish and veg. If I eat

Help understanding blood tests results please.
I have dyscalculia and subsequently struggle with understanding the numerical results from blood tests. Can anybody advise on my latest blood test results, what do they mean? I’m Hypothyroid & I’ve been diagnosed with Hashimoto's too. My endo is only ever concerned about my numbers being “in range

Feeling like something stuck in my throat on swallowing - any thoughts please
Hi everyone, just wondering if anyone else had experienced the same thing ? I guess it is down to some issue in my thyroid - but there are no visual lumps externally, just this weird sensation on swallowing. It started in March . Three weeks ago I have had annual bloods by GP and as my TSH is suppressed

IGF-1 Blood Test
I have had the results of my IGF-1 blood test. It’s 26.4nmol/L. The endo has said he thinks it’s because I’m over medicated with my thyroid medication. He’s arranged an OGTT. I’m currently on 75mcg T4 and 10mcg T3. I recently lowered the dose from 100mcg/10mcg. I had been on that dose for a long time

Comprehensive CKD and healthy Diet app
If you are aware of any reputable comprehensive apps to help track food intake for CKD patients. I would love a recommendation. Kidney diet tracking is complicated and it would be invaluable to have a toolset for those of us trying to implement dietary changes that are comprehensive. By comprehensive

My A Fib story
So I am on beta blockers, also on statins as I am now in an at risk group and a blood
test
revealed high
cholesterol
. Also on anti depressants for anxiety. Just had another 24 hour tape as I still feel fluttering a few times a day, everyday. Also woken up with 124 bpm.

Dr Richard Pope
Hi all. My T4-T3 conversion is rubbish, and I have had to slightly reduce my Levo to get my T4 back down into the range. Symptoms are now coming back, and I’m really fed up. I really need T3. I was wondering if anyone had any experience/feedback regarding Dr Richard Pope who is based in Bingley, West

Am I safe to trust TSH only results? - teen
I've asked this on an older original post, but asking again here in case it gets more traffic - I hope this is ok. Our 14 yo is suffering with extreme anxiety (showing as racing heart and palpitations, sweating, general aches and pains and general anxiety - no weight loss and I think sleep is ok once

would you add more T3?
hi all, I’ve just got my latest results back, 12 hours between T3 last meds and test (26 hours for T4). I’m on 20mcg of T3 (10mcg in the morning, 5 at lunch and then 5 at bed), I’m on 75mcg of Levo. I don’t have the rough feeling anymore like I used to, but still weight resistance, tired in the late

Increased fT4 concentrations in patients using levothyroxine without complete suppression of TSH
Authors: Heleen I Jansen et al . 2023 https://ec.bioscientifica.com/view/journals/ec/12/4/EC-22-0538.xml I found this study ....it's not from endocrinologists , it was done by Lab researchers

is this subclinical hypothyroidism?
Hi, Any guidance would be much appreciated please… this is all new to me. I managed to persuade my GP that I have symptoms of hashimotos and to humour me a TSH test , T4 /T3 and anti TPO blood test was done. However the bloods were done at 10:30am, I’ve been having biotin in my multi vitamin and drank

having bloods taken for Thyroid
I have my appointment at 8.40am for my bloods , is it best to take my thyroxine after my blood test. Or should I take it in the night. I have stopped my Biotin and Vitamin b complex for a couple of weeks. I only have this blood test annually so I want the best test results.

Results Fine!
After years of having low vitamin levels and low end T4 results it appears all is now fine! Thank you to SlowDragon for suggesting private blood test.

Thyroid Functions
Hello,I have been investigating the above recently via this forum and elsewhere. It concerns me that I take two medications that have an effect on Levothyroxine. Omeprazole 20mg daily, taken before bed and Propranolol 30mg taken twice daily usually before breakfast and before bed. Levothyroxine, 200mcg

When to take Lio before blood test?
Hiya, sorry I have not posted for a while. It is a familiar story alas: hypo symptoms on Levo alone became very bad, eventually got referral to endo, started Liothyronine (T3) trial in Oct 2021, worked great, hypo symptoms improved rapidly. But now TSH is below range and my endo wants to reduce Lio
