Steroid Treatment Card 2

Thank you to everybody for your responses to my Steroid Treatment Card post. I have a follow up question. On the "emergency" treatment card it states that Hydrocortisone is the necessary treatment. On the basis that there are no stupid questions would pred also work? I ask because I have an emergency supply to cater for such a crisis if say medical help was not readily available.

The EMERGENCY treatment is hydrocortisone because it is administered as an injection. If you have any warning signs at all - it is probably a good idea to take 10mg pred while you still can!!
