In praise of Ibrance and Letrozole
My initial right-breast cancer appeared (grew very quickly to the size of a grapefruit) in 1992. I had 6 courses of chemo, very extensive mastectomy, 34 radiation, then 6 more chemo. I was clear of what all doctors said would be terminal. Had lots of physical therapy and crying. 24 years later, in 2016

Icing on the IC
Chiropractor told me off. Apparently I should’ve brought my appointment forward, should’ve iced for more than 3 days and worn the compression sleeve for more than a week. Oops. Apparently it’s swollen but as I have fat knees I didn’t notice. The walking with a limp thing has made me a “wonky donkey”

EASY EXERCISES FOR TIGHT MUSCLES IN THE NECK AND OTHER PLACES
Having real issues with neck rigidity so want to share some great help I just found on the web. The rigidity was causing my neck to crack while OFF and thought I needed a chiropractor but it was muscles pulling on my neck bones. 😲 Some great exercises for PD/dystonia on YouTube called Smart XPD. Knee on the mend! Phew
Hi running people. I saw the McTimoney chiropractor last Monday and my knee problems were coming from my hips being OUT! So I agreed to rest after my treatment before trying to run. Well that was ok until Friday when I was on granny duties to my 2 1/2 year old grand son! Arr kneeling, lifting, being

My Polymyalgia journey so far
I am a 72yr old female who started with neck and shoulder pain in the spring of 2019 by June having difficulty sleeping due to pain. Went to doc's was told it was probably a little arthritis and to take Ibuprofen. I started to get pain in my ribs, unable to carry shopping, even sitting down was painful

Now what do I do?
UPDATE: Today was my follow up with my OB and she said the CT showed nothing. I mentioned to her the bloating and the fact I have gained 8 lbs since we started this all a month ago. And she thinks its gastrointestinal. I asked her if she was sure it wasn't cancer or anything and she said yes the CT would

First time a injury has stopped me.
I ran my 10 k about 6 weeks ago, since I have been rubbish, only able to do one reasonable 5k out of 3. However two weeks ago, getting out of my car, something happened to my knee. Since I have tried running, but I have decided to rest for a week and see a chiropractor. Oh how I’m missing my run this

Polyhydramnios and breech
Baby was breech at 36 weeks and I have tried
chiropractic
Webster method, spinning babies, and Miles circuit. I think he may have changed position but am not sure. Should I continue these treatments? Get another ultrasound?

Stepping back into the light...update, new dxs and lots of new directions. Long,
Hi folks. I know it's been a while. I kinda fell into a hole and haven't been able to climb out until recently. But I return with good news!!! Grab a cup and a seat and read on. It's funny how life can take things out of your life and put them back in play at a better time. In January of this year I

First run back in almost a week
So after my 4th consolidation run last Tuesday my hip and back have just been awful so I’ve had virtually a week off 😭 I’ve been feeling really sorry for myself but my daughter is trying to get a bit fitter too so yesterday she says to me “mom will you come with me on the first few couch to 5k runs

Medication and general care concerns
Hello to all. I was diagnosed with having a degenerative disease of my lumbar spine back in July 2011. Which has been life changing. When I say I have had all treatments I really have. I have been through and exhausted the pain clinics on two occasions. I have had extensive Physiotherapy, Accupunture

Week 7 Run 1 - Stamina!
Ouch! That was hard, I mean really hard... But I did it! Due to a twisted pelvis, I've not run now since Tuesday evening - It's now Sunday evening. I *think*, due to this break and lack of consistency in running, that's why I found this run hard; particularly the calves which had not been a problem

Hello! I have been meaning to find a community since I started so I stop boring my roommates with details. I also work in a creative tech industry where people get defensive and shamed when anyone talks about trying to get healthier. :p This is my third time trying, but the first time it’s stuck for

Possible Hernia ~ help needed
Hi, I saw a Chiropractor yesterday due to having abdominal pain for a very long time. After losing weight I noticed when I lean back a large bulge pertrudes from the abdomen where i'm getting the pain and discomfort. I rang the doctors and I thinks it's due to me seeing them many times in the past due

Hi, Just joined the community after my wife found it useful while I was going through treatment for a brain abscess.
