Pip telephone renewal
Afyer two extentions of my pip meaning it has been nearly 5 years since my orginal award which I had to get through a appeal tribunal. I have received a text today to say it will be a telephone assessment in two weeks. It's a date I can't do it due to work( if I'm at work as so far in the past year

No more prescriptions for antihistamines on the NHS
Hi, I'm a severe asthmatic both eosinophilic and allergic and I'm fortunate to be on monoclonal injections. However, I received a text from the surgery to say that they are no longer able to prescribe Hydroxyzine which is an antihistamine and have to buy it over the counter. Fine I thought, but when

Sudden diagnosis of CKD3 a few months following adrenalectomy
My wife was borderline cushing's disease back in fall. For years she had a nodule on her adrenal gland that was creating significant health issues. Had surgery to remove the one gland back in November, and then was on a course of hydrocortisone for about 4 months (gradually decreasing dosage until done

Can b complex with biotin cause elevated T4?
Hello, I had to have a thyroid blood test due to imminent surgery so only had 3 days notice. I had stopped my b complex (PinkTribe liposomal b complex) 3 days before the test. The result of the T4 was 25 (11 - 21) whereas the test I had about 3 weeks ago at my Gp, when I had stopped the b complex,

Hashimoto's blood test and cortisol tests
I have been asked by my GP Surgery to provide them with the list of blood tests I believe are correct for a patient with Hashimoto's. I don't seem to be able to find it. Would someone be kind enough to show me where I may find it please? Is it the same as under active blood test or are there 'extras'

Can You Refuse Certain Blood Tests
I had a consult with a Livi doctor last week for non thyroid related issue, he wanted me to have a load of bloods done. I've checked online and see what he's ordered. It includes B12, which is pointless as I'm on jabs and have been for years, so B12 always very high. ( the lab always moan and point this

Should I take pill after endometriosis surgery?
I was diagnosed with endometriosis and I had surgery last year. I had excisions with ablation. Doctor didn't prescribed anything later on. My follow up appointment has been cancelled many times. I had my first appointment only after 5 months. That appointment wasn't even long enough,it's seemed she wanted

Basal cortisol test result
Following my previous post, I had blood taken on 10 June and have just phoned my GP surgery for the result, which was given as 396nmol/l. The GP had noted “no further suppression required”. I would now like to start reducing Prednisolone 1mg to 0.75mg using Dorset Lady’s 7-week reduction plan and see

I am 70 years old and have had asthma for most of my life. I moved from Lancaster in 2010, where I had a fantastic Dr and fully qualified asthma nurse. I now live in the far west of Cornwall and for several reasons need to see a GP. And that is where the problem lies. In February I had a bad fall and

Big Ferritin Drop in a Year (over 50%)
Not a thyroid question, but a ferritin question if anyone is able to advise? Apologies in advance that this is long, just trying to set the scene. Brief background - I have Hashimoto's and after many years am on T3 monotherapy. I am vegetarian, and take various supplements as recommended on here, and

URGENT ADVICE NEEDED FOR ENDO CONSULTATION/ UNDER RANGE TSH
Dear amazing community I moved to Cornwall last year after having spent almost 5 years after being left alone by my brilliant GP to manage my own health with T3/T4 combo and bloods every 4 months. I am now having to justify why I’m taking T3! I have been super healthy for many years after having to fight

NHS pre diabetic programme- Second Nature
This is more on the helpful pre diabetic theme, currently running. I wonder if anyone has been offered this programme? I was called up, by my surgery, for a blood test, in Dec 23, l don’t know why, possibly my age- 88. The result showed l was pre diabetic and l was immediately offered a free 9 month
