Confusing news from oncologist
Hi all, looking for some insight or direction based off of any experiences or similar ones. My dad started chemo in October with a PSA of 126. After 2 rounds of chemo, his PSA rose to 153, we saw some increase in his bone metastasis as according to the scans (posted about this previously). My dad

Blood in Urine
Hi fellow fighters Had blood in my urine the last 10 days. Hoped it was a UTI but a course of antibiotics has failed. I had a bladder neck incision last June to help urinary flow. The urologist saw a suspicious patch and a biopsy confirmed it my prostate cancer has spread to my bladder. I’m hoping

Diagnosed with all the arrhythmias and a 40% ejection fraction and I'm a little confused about what's to come...
Hi, So (I'll try and keep a long story short) 8 years ago I was diagnosed with breast cancer, I had chemo, radiotherapy and surgery. 3 years ago I gave birth to my son and (in lock down) I'd walk for miles and miles with him in a sling. Around 2 years ago, while pregnant with my daughter, I got tired

Ramp 201 Trial
That was in January 2022 when I was debating whether or not to have
chemotherapy
, with high risk of it being resisted in cases of low grade serous ovarian cancer.

happy holidays …. And a quick update
Just a quick note to wish all the warriors here a happy holidays with friends and family. As an update, I’m off all treatments and my psa remains <0.014. I remain grateful for the respite. My last degeralix injection and darolutamide was in May, and the SBRT to my ribs and neck about 2 years ago

Phase 1 trial participation Nurix NX-1607
I have not been on any treatment since I stopped Docetaxel chemo last year except Prostap injections every 12 weeks. My PSA went up from ~9 to 20 from May to September. I have just been invited to take part in a phase 1a safety and tolerability study of NX-1607. It aims to inhibit CBL-B (Casitas B-lineage

Finished Venetoclax, then Covid
My doctor prescribed Venetoclax after two rounds of chemo/immuno infusions to fight CLL. I felt great! Swimming half a mile, felt strong. Then bronchitis, pneumonia, and Covid. Was hospitalized and released in 6 days. But my home convalescence is not what I expected. Weakness, coughing, general severe

Should I be worried?
Hi All, my Haemo Lady, just called me with my Bone Marrow Biopsy results, She, said they were heavily infiltrated with CLL. A recent body scan also showed a large lump in my stomach, she is not sure if it is related to my CLL, or perhaps an aggressive lymphoma. She has ordered a needle biopsy of this

I’m game to try couch to 5K
I’ve been through
chemotherapy
in 2020 Relapsed early 2021 and went through second series of chemo - finished March 2021. I’ve had no energy since. Maybe due to long covid as well as recovery from intense chemo. I thought I would give Couch to 5K a go but worried it might be too much. Any tips?

Update on neuroendocerine prostate cancer mets to liver.
As mentioned previously my husbands prostate cancer has now metastasised to his liver. He also has bone mets. He had 6 cycles of Etoposide and Carboplatin. This combination of chemo worked very well. As we are looking at getting Pluvicto for his bone mets we also organised an FDG scan. (As advised on

Curiosity: ChatGPT and my PET scan
Ok, take it as a curious/fun thing to ask chat gpt, not as a real medical consult. I have given my PET scan results (in Italian) to chat gpt, to see if they were in line with my oncologist's opinion. I asked it to read the results and tell me if they were very negative, negative, neutral, positive or

Allergy to heparin
I have had a port for over three years now. I have had no issues at all with it until yesterday. I had bloods done and it was accessed as usual , but when the nurse put in the heparin lock I had an acute allergic reaction. It was almost instantaneous. I got a terrible fright as I felt I was burning up

Carbo/caelyx 2nd line
Hi all, I am about to start my 2nd line of chemo, carbo/caelyx, having done carbo/taxol/avastin first time round. I was hoping to just get to immunotherapy tbh but it looks like you need to do at least 2 series of chemo first to be eligible... so, anyone else had a similar treatment plan? Did it

Welcome to Stage Denial
Greetings, fellow warriors fighting prostate cancer. Mababa here, with a funny-sounding username that's a joining of my first name initial with the last part of the name of the city where I was born: Addis Ababa, seventy-one years and six months ago. Actually, I'm not quite in the fight yet, so I can't

First Treatment for Richter’s Today
I was admitted into the hospital today for 5 days of DA EPOCH R w Venetoclax for large diffuse large b cell lymphoma, Richter’s Transformation, of my CLL. Still shocked by the diagnosis as I continue to feel pretty good despite the swollen spleen, enlarging lymph modes and fatigue. It’s been a long
