When is PARP introduced?
Hi My husband is currently on triple therapy ( Docetaxel chemo , Zoladex every 3 months and nubeqa) he has one more chemo round left next week. He is responding well so far as PSA is declining ( see profile for PSA) . I have seen some men are talking a PARP inhibitor and nubeqa and zoladex ( or ADT

Recurrence :(
Hi ladies,I haven't posted on here for a while, but I've just found out that my cancer has come back. I was initially diagnosed in October 2021 with stage 4 HGSOC and had 6 rounds of carbotaxol with a total abdominal hysterectomy and omentectomy after the 3rd cycle. I then went on to Olaparib, initially

Losing my pubic hair
Recently I noticed that the skin on my inner legs in the crotch area under my scrotum turned brown and then started to peel like a sunburn. The exposed skin is a healthly pink hue and no longer brown but I lost my pubic hair from this area. Surprisingly the size and shape on the brown spots was very

Update: NEPC Treatment
A few people messaged me regarding updates about my dad’s participation in Duke CHAMP trial for small cell/NEPC. He was admitted into trial Dec ‘23 and received 3 immunotherapy infusions until he had a very severe allergic reaction causing intense itching and grade 4 red rash all over his body. He admitted

The day all treatment ended and I was released to begin life without the benefit of seeing my radiation oncologist or the infusion nurse on a weekly basis was a scary day. The idea that it would be three months before I saw anyone again left me overwhelmed. Finding web boards like these and in person

surgery before chemo
hi all My mums been diagnosed stage 3 HGSC - and the treatment plan has been determined to be surgery before chemo. My understanding was that chemo first was preferable - has anyone else had it in this order? (know I should trust the doctors but am overthinking a bit here! ☺️) thanks in advance

Ascites coming back,primary peritoneal
Hi everyone. I was hoping I could ask for some information. For a bit of background, I am supporting my Mum (76) who was diagnosed with primary peritoneal cancer almost two years ago after ascites discovered and drain needed. Initially thought was stage 3c and as it had affected a lymph node it was then

When should chemo restart post interval debulking surgery?
Hello ladies I am almost 5 weeks post surgery now and my consultant is happy to restart me on chemo now. Just wondered what experiences others have had in terms of coping with the ongoing recovery & chemo side effects. Thank you 🤗

Update on Nuclear Scan and where I am at now.
The Operation I don't want is Radical Cystectomy - The alternative is "treatment plans involving
chemotherapy
and radiation therapy after TURBT- A TURBT is a cystoscopy but they take away anything that is there. That is containment not a cure but I would be happy with that.

Total hysterectomy with oopherectomy recovery advice needed please!
Hi all, it’s been about 3 years since I wrote into this group. Back then I was considering having a hysterectomy to help relive the symptoms of severe endo. I still couldn’t decide so I decided to wait and see how I felt in a few years. Well, life had other plans. I got stage 3 ovarian cancer at 40

CHEMO Effects
A friend of mine finished 6 sessions of Taxater Dec 6th. He still has bouts of serious nasuea, which he attributes to the chemo. Anyone have any experience with this?

Finishing Olaparib PARP after 2 years
Hi All I've been on Olaparib for the past 2 years following frontline chemo (NED) for ovarian cancer (stage 3) and I'm due to finish in May. In one way I'm pleased as I've been very worried about developing MDS/AML following a few scares with my white blood cells dropping. On the other hand, I'm

unfortunately the liver mets have returned to Martins liver. It is 6 months since chemo finished. There are multiple small mets. Martin is still feeling well. No fatigue, loss of appetite or pain. His MO said that this is very bad and gave a prognosis of 12 months. He is starting Martin on carboplatin

Skull met has spread
My appointment with my oncologist yesterday made me aware after reviewing the MRI from last week, that the met that was on my skull is now spread into soft matter in my head. I was set to start a double Chemo treatment yesterday , but it was decided the treatment would do no good, and that quality

How does this read? I'm reaching out on a couple of message boards where old folks suffer with advanced osteoporosis: "I'm in bad shape, can’t stand erect, in pain all the time, compression fractures up & down lumbar to thoracic. It’s been about 3 years in total 11 compression fractures. I’ve had 3
