Has anyone else found that they don't dream (when lucky enough to sleep) on meds such as pregabalin & nortriptyline?
I used to have frequent and extremely vivid dreams but realised while taking
Champix
(common side effect: extremely vivid dreams) that I'd rarely dreamt in the three years I've been on these meds (amongst others).

Denial over so what now?
(booked in with DR for some
champix
). I'm overwhelmed by the general information thats online and have a few questions that I hope can be answered here. I am dog tired by 4pm (when I Finnish work) I mean very very tired to the point where I have to go to bed for a couple of hours and sleep.

E cigs
I then decided I wanted to get off nicotine hence going on
Champix
. I have got a dozen 16mg disposable ecigs each one the equivalent of 50 cigs. Wonder if they would help anyone out as they are just sitting in a cupboard not paying any rent.

All you ever wanted to know about the e-cig
I particularly like the comparisons towards the end between the figures on mortality rates as a direct result of using an e-cig which appears to be zero and over the same time period of 7 years, the mortality rates of those whose death appeared to be as a direct result of using
Champix
- a licensed product

Looking for some advice, new member
Forgive me for this being extremely long. My ADD tends to get me lost in thought and I'd like to give as much information as possible for others may have been in the same boat as I'm in. I tend to consider myself a quit-smoking veteran, I've got advice for everyone but myself lol. Been smoking for 18

WAKE UP
Only thing different is the
Champix
dose went from 1 tablet to 2 tablets. Maybe that's how
Champix
stops the smoking habit, keeps you asleep 24/7. I feel Ok now but I have been awake for 3 hours now.

Champix
Has anybody used
Champix
to stop smoking ? I am thinking about giving it a go but I've heard it can have some serious side effects, if so do these side effects go in time ?

I'm back :)
For those of you who don't know I am using
Champix
and have done since the start of December. My quit date was December 23 and besides a slip up New Year's Eve I was pretty smug about my achievements. But by mid January I was really struggling.

My craving monster is throwing a major tantrum.....
I am normally really strict with my eating as I get chubby really easily :( This whole journey is one massive learning curve as the first time I quit was when I was trying for a baby so had other things to focus on, and the only other time was with
champix
which made me not care about anything, and

Is there an easier way to get Champix from the NHS than having to go through my registered GP?
I had stopped previously with
Champix
and found it the best way for me to stop, I only had 4 weeks worth but this stopped me for almost 4 months, until the cravings returned just as strong as they were before...

Is it ok for Champix AND an inhalator?
I (stupidly) didn't quit when I should while using the
champix
. I'm now on day 18 of the pack, quit at 5pm yesterday, but using the inhalator when I feel desperate. Is it ok to use both together? Or should I knock one of them on the head?

BENEFITS OF STOPPING SMOKING
Also, medicines called bupropion (trade name 'Zyban®') and varenicline (trade name '
Champix
®') can help. These are available on prescription.

Day 4 of Champix
Started on
Champix
4 days ago and I've noticed I've certainly cut down already. No obvious side effects YET. Christmas Day is my quit day.....a present to myself :) Anyway I'm glad I've found this site. It's obvious from what I've read that much support is gained from visiting here often :)

Once you have reached your quit date...
Unless of course it is
Champix
/Chantix or Zyban, in which case you will already have started using it. 7. Attend the stop smoking service if you have chosen one. 8. Reduce or avoid using alcohol. 9. Use the four “A”s to deal with tough situations.
