LFT Results - Help
I have had some tests done recently and I was expecting the liver would be an issue. I have been a heavy drinker for quite some time. I had full bloods done which were all fine. Electrolytes were also fine. The doctor said my LFTs were abnormal, I asked if it indicated Cirrhosis and he said he didn't

Hi, thank you for letting me join🙂
I have a long history of Hypothyroidism. A lot of ups and downs on the journey. I was prescribed T3 quite a few years ago but then had it withdrawn because of cost. It took me 10 years to get it reinstated and get my life back on track. It's been a long battle. Am looking forward to connecting with others

marshmallow root
After reading some answers to my previous post on Slippery Elm someone also mentioned marshmallow root so I looked it up. Would you believe it is also said to help with bladder issues. This being music to my ears as still having UTIs (putting this down to my thyroid levels being low and the long slow

New results after being discharged by endocrinologist.
Hi I will add my previous post but I will also give a quick recap: I first came on with low T4 levels but TSH in range. The doctors did regular tests saying it wasn't being tested properly. I eventually got referred to an endocrinologist. After a while of more testing I was discharged and told that

Too much T3? One time. Does it make a difference?
Because of a change of dosage of liothyronine from 10 mcg 2 x daily plus 10mcg 1 x daily Mon, Wed, and Fri, To 20mcg 1 x daily and 10mcg 1 x daily, I was given a completely different brand. Originally given Roma capsules, then following dosage change, Mercury Pharma tablets as well as Roma capsules

does 12.5 mcg make much of a difference ?
i decided august 2023 to increase my dose from 75 to 100 on my own based on symptoms and results TSH 0.27 - 4.2 R 1.17 FREE T3 3.1 - 6.8 R 4.49 FREE THYROXINE 12 - 22 R 16.7 but I became over medicated, symptoms and bloods to confirm. On 75 I was experiencing quite obvious strong hypothyroid

Advanced Thyroid Function Blood Test
I have been suffering from frequent aura migraines ever since I had my covid jabs in 2021. (sometimes daily). I had a brain MRI which was normal and all bloods taken at the time were normal. I have recently discovered that migraines go hand in hand with hypothyroidism. I also have a huge number of

Hypothyroidism
Hello, I haven’t felt like myself for over a year, started with acid reflux, swelling of hands, feet, eyes and cheeks then itchy skin, fatigue, slow movement, low mood. GP agreed to do blood test, nothing came up except high cholesterol. GP prescribed statins for high cholesterol, antihistamine for swelling

bizarre turnaround
hello! I posted here about a month ago complaining of lots of issues; dry skin, falling out hair etc, irritable, over emotional. My TSH was 0.8 and lower range T3, ok range T4. Since then I’ve lost 5lbs (diet and exercises) started taking vitamin b complex, vitamin d and a general health vitamin

What causes subclinical hypothyroidism?
My brief history: Diagnosed subclincal last year and have felt persistently awful on all doses of levo (25-75mcg) and 75 pushed my t4 slightly too high. The side effects of it have been debilitating and in many ways I feel worse taking it. 25mcg puts my t4 at around 18 which seemed high for a tiny dose

Yearly endo nonsense
I've given up ranting, this just seems to be yearly confirmation of what we are up against (sadly most don't get as far as Endochrinoloy. My GP surgery recently asked me to confirm my Levo dose? They prescribe it each month so is it compliance? I replied 150mcg Levothyroxine and 10mcg Liothyronine (I've

Hi everyone Been having problems over years on levothyroxine , think conversion low . Decided to see private endo for t3 supplementing as nhs would not prescribe . Since December 23 , he lowered my thyroxine dose which was then 125 /150 alternate days but I was having most of the typical hypo symptoms
