Waiting For Ablation
6 weeks ago I had a successful cardioversion but sadly it lasted just 20 days before I went back into AF. Yesterday I had a follow up appointment at the hospital where they said that the results of my echo cardiogram had come back normal but that they felt that the best option for me, based on my age

Symptoms suddenly taking a turn for the worse
Hello everyone. I am new to the forum, and have some questions to ask, but also want to share my RLS story, as well as some things that I have found helpful in living with RLS. I have had RLS for over 40 years. At first it was fairly easily controlled with a good run or long walk, and later with magnesium

What Meds ?
I've been A-Fibbing for nearly 10 years permanent. First medication was Amiodarone swelling of ankles and fatigue came off after a few months. Next up was Bisoprolol extreme fatigue. Told the GP I felt better off off of it so he said stop taking it if you want. I take Apixaban and Losartan. The latter

anti coagulant side effects
i have been jealously reading all the 'wonderful no side effects of anti coagulants' comments when my experience has been simply dreadful. i was diagnosed with afib several years ago but refused apixoban because of the side effects until april this year when i heard about an awful story of a stroke victim

AV Node Ablation Good News
After having 9 cardio versions (shock treatment) in the past two years and at the age of 77, I decided to go for quality of life and forego all the drugs that I have taken over the past few years. I tried two ablations and a few drug protocols of which none worked. After all of that and the worry of

Cholesterol Levels?
Has anyone noticed a relationship between their cholesterol levels and severity/progression of their liver disease? I’ve read that as the liver gets worse, cholesterol levels drop (especially HDL cholesterol). If you have had this happen, were you on medication (statins) to lower your cholesterol at

Good morning,n' You will see from my profile that I have not had a gret time getting to see an NHS cardiologist and have been in persistent AF for over a year (18 months nearly) with GPs not understanding. However, I was eventually referred to Royal Papworth and I had my outpatient appointment on 13th

Can Biased Beliefs Play a Positive Role in Some Circumstances?
A mother who comes, with only a stick, to the rescue of her child being attacked by a mountain-lion may be willing to believe she’ll drive the animal away even if objectively the odds are not in her favor. She draws her strength from her biased belief. So, depending on circumstances and what is at

CBT-I (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Insomnia) for Parkinson's Insomnia
I have read in multiple places that Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia works for people with Parkinson's. I can't seem to find anyone who has tried it. Has anyone here tried it? Did it work?
