A/Fib and Exercise.
After 4 decades of distance running I ended up with a heart attack and quadruple bypass at 65. (12 years ago) Back to running within 6 weeks but 5 years later A/Fib struck, followed a year later by A/Flutter. 2013 and a RF

Should I go for the 3rd ablation or just go for the av node ablation..... I just have a feeling this 3rd ablation won't last long either.....

AF ablation risks and concerns
I know this is a 'minor procedure' (and my 72-year old mother recently had a
catheter
ablation
for SVT, making it seem easy!) and that it's normal to be cautious but I have a 4-year old son who needs me and can't stop thinking what it might mean for him.

My AF journey takes a turn for the worse! 2
Well it's a week now post CRT-D implantation and I do feel a little better for it, but early days yet. No problems during the day as regards pain, night time was a problem and I had to take painkillers before I could sleep. Turns out it was the large plaster left over the wound that was causing some

Has any other women experienced extreme vertigo after an endometrial ablation? I started having dizzy spells a month after my procedure.

Not Sure What To Think
Just had my annual check-up with my EP. I had a pacemaker fitted in Dec,. 2016. Everything went OK for 9 months and then A/F returned. I then had an AV Node ablation in June 2018 and (touch wood), everything seems alright. One of the drugs I am on is Bisoprolol 10mg and have been for the last 7 yrs.

Longstanding Paroxysmal af: What next for me?
Hi - A question or two and a bit of a moan - sorry! I have had Paroxysmal AF for 20 years. I had a pacemaker fitted in 2005 following a reaction after amiodorone which paces me at 60. Then 5 years AF clear then episodes started again. I've had 3 ablations in past 5 years and my EP says there's nothing

heart failure after av node ablation
In November last year I had a pacemaker fitted and after 5 weeks had a AV node ablation. I am in persistent AF but intolerant of drugs. Last week I was diagnosed with left sided heart failure. I wrote to my EP at Stoke as I was concerned he is going to see me in clinic at the end of February to discuss

Cardiac Ablation
I had the cardiac ablation surgery on Oct. 3. I'm very glad i did it. I feel much better and have only had one (5minute) afib moment since.

Shortness of breath
I had a Cardiac Ablation for AFib seven weeks ago. I am still experiencing shortness OB breath that has not improved. I have discussed this with my cardiologist and he says it will get better. I returned to work two weeks after the ablation and I am having a very hard time working because of the shortness

Catheter Ablation failed?
Because of this I chose to have a
catheter
ablation
on 4th Oct. As you can see from the attached screen-shot of my AF log, it wasn't long before my heart was back in AF. After ten days of being in AF, it went into sinus rhythm for just four days, before returning to AF, as it is, as I write.

Anti-coagulants and 'lone' AF
Because of this I recently had a
catheter
ablation
and was prescribed apixaban which I had to take for 28 days prior to the procedure and have been advised to keep taking indefinitely, or at least until my follow up appointment.

Heart rate question
A week ago, I had a
catheter
ablation
because of a high number of ectopic beats, which were making me light headed and exacerbated my breathing during asthma attacks. They haven't yet settled down but I know that this can take some time.

VT diagnosis and cardiac ablation. Would you do it?
I’ve recently been through the full gamut of testing (ECG, Holter, CT scan, stress test). Everything came back normal except for my holter which did show a small run of VT. I had a few ectopic beats during the stress test and I feel those several times a day, which I hate, but have been told repeatedly
