Thyroid testing post partial thyroidectomy
Hello All, I had a partial (just over half) thyroidectomy on June 1st 2018. I had stage 1 papillary carcinoma on my right lobe. I currently have a colloid (benign) nodule on my left remaining lobe. My ENT surgeon is not interested in thyroid function testing until I show symptoms of hypothyroidism,

My experiences with thyroid issues
Hi everyone, I have just joined today, I had a partial thyroidectomy over 30 years ago and still suffering. My levels go up and down all the time so I have to be monitored regularly. Was rushed to a&e on Friday with a very severe panic attack. Was very scary, I don’t really know why this happened, but

pain from underarm incision
Three weeks ago I had a partial mastectomy, oncoplastic surgery to reconstruct that breast and lymph node removal. I'm experiencing a fair amount of pain in the underarm incision. Also experiencing a sort of zapping pain in the breast, which people say is nerve regeneration (?). Can anyone help with

Thinking of a Cardiac Ablation
I’ve been reading quite a bit from people who have had or are thinking of Cardiac Ablation. I just want to add my 2 cents. I had my Ablation on June 18,2018. The Doctor said it went perfectly. 2 days later I was easily walking up/down stairs two Fridays later I was on the tennis court and the next day

Opinions please.
I had a partial thyroidectomy 10 plus yrs ago. I was put straight on to Levo. My remaining thyroid was never given a chance to see if it was sufficient. For years I have gradually put on weight and never felt that Levo was working. I've felt consistently fine and the same regardless of dose but my

Sertraline- is this the reason ?
I’m slowly understanding hypothyroidism However, I’ve just been reading of the effects of Sertraline on thyroid hormones. I’ve recently weaned myself off Sertraline, having taken it for around 10 years I had a partial thyroidectomy 40 years ago but I’m now wondering if Sertraline has caused recent problems

TSH 1.6 FT4 11.4 FT3 4.8 Now developed high blood pressure. Apparently

Hyperplasia and Partial Thyroidectomy
After asking for some surgery results, there were no antibodies, TSH was fine, but there was a diagnosis of hyperplasia on the left side of the thyroid gland and was removed as cancer preventative. It's happening to the other side now with a noticeable goiter, cysts and growths with blood supply and

Am I going mad?
Hi, I have been on Levo since August last year after a partial thyroidectomy left me severely hypothyroid. I had been going backwards and forwards to my gp saying that i didn't feel well and I had loads of symptoms which they said were nothing to do with thyroid conditions. Finally a large goitre came

Maybe I deserve all this...?
I’ve suffered a long and painful life, but for awhile I thought that had marginally improved. I’d survived two spinal surgeries, two heart valve replacements, a cardiac ablation, plus three lesser operations on my left knee and one on my right hand. I learned to walk all over again three times, and was

Cough and Phelgm After RF Cardiac Ablation with TOE
Hi all, I ended up having an RF abalation with TOE on Monday and so far so good with the heart. I have ended up some shortness of breath with a productive cough clearing Phelgm from my chest and a very sore throat . Is this due to the TOE or should I be talking to my doctor further ?
