Thyroid help
Hello I had a partial thyroidectomy four months ago, I have just had my blood test results back which are TSH less than 0.005 , free thyroxine 22.6 and free T3 10.4 I find it all a bit confusing, I have been taking thyroid gold once a day, do I need to take more, are these results bad? Should I take

Post partial thyroidectomy - symptoms again
Hi all I’m new here, I had a partial thyroidectomy (R half) in June 2014. Had a really fast growing cyst, it grew over 4cms in six months and after several biopsies came back inconclusive/suspicious they decide to operate. Post op I needed no treatment or meds as apparently the remaining half is functioning

New on levo following partial thyroidectomy
Hi, I had a partial thyroidectomy middle September. TSH kept creeping up and 2 weeks ago when it got to 6.2 and I was really feeling so tired and unwell physically and mentally (0.4-4.92) was started on 100mcg levothyroxine. I’ve had a Merina cool in and not had any’loss’ for 3 months. All of a sudden

Ablation tomorrow
Hey guys, I’m scheduled to have a RF cardiac ablation tomorrow for PSVT and I thought I’d create a post here. I’ve had the condition since I was in my teens and now 12 years later, I decided to opt for the ablation. The irony is I haven’t had any episodes in the last few months (I’ve had the odd flutter

Enlarged heart
Hi, Any advice please. I have typical symptoms of being hypo, partial thyroidectomy 3 years ago, remaining side now enlarged (goitre confirmed), currently on 100 levo. I have now just been advised I have an enlarged heart, I know this can be caused by thyroid decease, but how likely is this to be

Cardiac Ablation
So, after having a reveal device fitted I was told I'd not have to see my cardiologist unless something was picked up.......that day came and I saw him last week. Since having the reveal device fitted (for racing HR and palpitations) my heart has "paused" twice, once for 4 seconds and once for 9 seconds

Svt’s and Afib
I had cardiac ablation March 2018. Two week heart monitor showed some Svt’s and some Afib. On medication and blood thinner. What heart medicine do you take to control Svt’s? I have had multaq, tioksen, amiodarone, flecainide. I now am on metropolol, fosinopril, and eliquis. I have read on this

Hi only joined on Monday evening after having my stress echo cardiogram. Outcome wasn't what I was expecting. During the echo our hearts are scanned in 17 sections; two sections of mine whilst under stress aren't working properly: they're slowing down. I have now been put on the cardiac waiting list

Hi there, I was diagnosed earlier this year with SVT (a form of arrythmia) and have tried having the cardiac Ablation procedure which unfortunately did not work. The Best Measure of Cardiovascular Disease Risk
For the past 50 or so years, the medical community has psychologically conditioned their patients (and media) to focus their cardiovascular disease (CVD) risk-reduction strategies on lowering total cholesterol and more specifically LDL-C (lipoprotein cholesterol volume). Research done over the last 10

I am happy to say that the Cardiac Ablation 60 days ago went well and I have had only a few short periods of abnormal rhythm having worn a Holter for 10 days after the first month. My cardiologist is please with my progress. I feel great except I am having numbness of my feet but only when I sit too

Horrible joint pain
Hi, I had a partial thyroidectomy a couple months ago and was initially on levothyroxine. Recently I was switched to NP Thyroid which has both T4 and T3. I feel like this is helping me feel like myself again all except the joint pain. Somedays it feels so bad I don't want to do anything. Has anyone else

Advice please
My GP decided to send me for a "thyroid test", as my levo was increased from 50 to 100 in November. Results back today, but only TSH tested for, result 0.16 mu/L - range (0.34 - 5.6 mu/L), my GP says it's fine!!! If I go back, can you suggest what tests I should ask him for please, I am getting more
