After a five day spell of NSR following a
cardioversion
I went back into afib and was referred for ablation, which I’m currently waiting for, and given Amiodorone to take. Since then I’ve experienced tingling/numbness in my left hand and foot and also pain in my calf.

Exercise is the Best medicine
I’m in permanent AFib, having been in SR for 4 months after my 3rd
Cardioversion
. However I’m now walking 4 to 5 miles most every day. It took a while to build up to this, but so worth it now. I go out in the morning, because it makes me feel energised for the rest of the day.

Pinching pain in chest
I have permanent AF and am awaiting
cardioversion
. Every now and again I feel a pinching/slight burning pain in my upper chest (much higher than my heart). I think it began when I had my flu jab - it was literally 10 mins after I had it and lasted a couple of days.

Short bouts of nsr
I was in persistent Afib after pneumonia for four months with flutter then had a
cardioversion
that lasted for two weeks. Had it confirmed by docs back into Afib but over last to weeks have noticed my heart rate variability was low and no arrhythmia sign on both machine and a regular pulse.

Hospitals (England)
Hi, do any of you know which hospitals in England are meant to be the best for cardiology - specifically ablations? I’m with Blackpool hospital and have had six or seven cardioversions and two ablations since I started with persistent AF in 2013. Nothing’s worked for long. One ablation lasted 4 months

That will teach me to be so smug...
However had a dream my consultant was doing a
cardioversion
via my iPad. Woke up and just approaching 4.00 am and back in SR. Was it the medication or was it the dream 😂 AF really is the “gift” that just keeps on giving, one can never relax and think its gone away.

Magnesium for breakfast!
I thought I’d wait before I tried it because I was due a
cardioversion
. (Which only worked for three days). I have now taken 375mg for the last three days and it’s brilliant!

Feeling a little lost.
Has
cardioversion
worked for you. I’m hoping the
cardioversion
works. Does anyone know that by having to wait possibly up to 6 months maybe longer for one if my heart will keep deteriorating and it’s less likely to work.

Second ablation update
Thankfully I understand all went well, they said they had to do two
cardioversion
as well during my procedure. It took a little over six hours, I was kept in hospital overnight and was discharged late afternoon the next day.

Persistent AF and keeping your job.
Hello again. I still have PAF but am on the cusp of it becoming persistent. I have been told no more cardioversions. Over the years I have had to change my jobs because of AF - I’m now self employed as a gardener, I run my house as a “b and b” and we are self sufficient in veg at home thanks to my veggie

Flecainide and Cardioversion?
My EP tried a
cardioversion
on 1 October which he was fairly sure would get me back into sinus rhythm (SR) but despite 3 attempts SR was only achieved for a few seconds. I am taking Rivaroxaban and also 2.5mg Bisoprolol daily.

Cryoablation for my Afib
Just wanted to say thanks for all the posts. I am 42 would say healthy. Started having Afib in Dec of 2020. Had 2 cardioversions in Dec and Jan which only kept me in rhythm for like 3 days each. Just had the Cryoablation this past Monday. Used general anesthesia and seemed like a non event. Recovery

Paf or paroxysmal ?
I was diagnosed with paf 2019, was going along the route of
cardioversion
but suddenly went into NSR the week before ! (Lasted approx a week). Hospital started looking at further tests for possible paroxysmal rather than persistent. Now back in AF, currently on 5th week!

New guy
Heart self-corrected in hospital each time (luckily.) once had
cardioversion
. Now getting mild symptoms (lightheadedness, fatigue) and starting Ace inhibitors Beta blocker Anti coagulant So, processing the unknown future of it all. ☕️🫖 Overall ejection fraction 42%.
