sorry Cappy, no knowledge of Cardioversion, but I was put on Bisopronol 1.25 & my HR often goes as low as 40 but I get no side effects which is all the Drs were concerned about. Good luck
Hi Cappy. I had a cardioversion when I had an episode of AF 4 years ago. I was initially put on 5mg of bisoprolol and my HR was often in the 30s. The consultant gradually reduced it over a couple of years and I now take just 1.25mg (plus Apixaban morning and evening). Resting heart rate is around 48 although sometimes goes down to 44 or 43. No real side effects although I don't climb hills with the same ease as years ago - but then, that could be age!
I've had several cardio-versions and 3 ablations but all were only temporarily successful. I've been on bisoprolol for many years and it controls AF well. My HR has been down to that level but is now more normal. With AF everybody is different ! I've adjusted to bisoprolol but one side effect is dizziness caused by hypotension when standing up after kneeling or squatting. What does your GP or consultant say about your HR?
I have been on half a tablet of bisoprolol, Keeps my heart rate about 55-85 depending on what I am doing.
