I just re- Read the replies you had to the last time you posted this question - 2 months ago.
I have no further comments to make but wondered if you went back and queried your cardiologist’s reasoning? If you can’t contact them - write a letter.
Did you ask you GP?
All I know is that when I needed an anti-spasmodic med urgently - as that is what Buscapan is - I was told NOT to take Buscapan under any circumstances but that’s because it’s contraindicated for Myasthenics. It’s also not to be given to children, by the way.
It is commonly given to people with IBD (IBS)?
I do think you need to query the reasoning and it’s definately not something I would touch if I had constipation - you want something to increase motility, not decrease.
