Medication side effects

As anyone ever suffered from a numbness/tingling in the hands/feet from AF medication? I was diagnosed with persistent AF in May after the discovery of a blood clot and have been on Rivaroxaban, Bisoprolol and Ramipril ever since without any problems. After a five day spell of NSR following a cardioversion I went back into afib and was referred for ablation, which I’m currently waiting for, and given Amiodorone to take. Since then I’ve experienced tingling/numbness in my left hand and foot and also pain in my calf. I had that scanned for another blood clot which came back negative but I still carry these ailments. My cardiologist says these aren’t side effects from any of my pills and probably isn’t heart related. I’ve got a better chance of flying a pig to the moon than I have of getting a GP appointment and was wondering if anyone has experienced anything similar? My cardiologist has okayed me to stop Amiodorone until I get an ablation date.

I too get numbness and pins and needles but only in my right hand. I am on an anticoagulant and sometimes take a diuretic if my ankles seem puffy.

I read recently that low vitamin D12 is a known cause of the peripheral neuropathy, i.e pins and needles. Meat seems to be the natural provider of this vitamin and as I eat very little, favouring fish and chicken as being better for my cardio problems, I will have to seek it as a supplement. I will write further here if it works.

Hello Safc, sorry you you are poorly.I was diagnosed with Paroxysmal AF,ie(Intermittent AF)1999.was kept in hospital for one week, then sent home with my medication.

I take 6 pills relating to this condition daily. When I have an episode,I have to wait a while then take "My Pill in The Pocket, within 1 to 2hrs my heart goes back to rythem.

Never have to go to hospital now,as PIP puts it back to rythmn.Wonderful magic Pill.!!! Let me know how you go.
