Hi everyone just thought I would give u an update. I’v been back hospital with my Afib. I’m back home and I’v Cardioverted myself. I’m feeling really rough I’m holding onto a lot of fluid in my abdomen. I feel constantly nauseous and have no appetite. I need to ring my cardiologist when I go back into Afib. Also I had a shower yesterday and nearly blacked out. I frightened my poor mum half to death. I was unresponsive and had no idea what was going on. I’v decided not to have anymore Cardioversions. My cardiologist is on my side with my decision as I’ve had 11 all together and my poor heart is giving up. It wasn’t all meant to happen this fast but there was always a chance. Covid is really not helping as everything is put on hold. Sorry for for the offload

If anyone is entitled to a wee vent now and again, surely it is you. I'm so sorry to hear things are going a bit rough for you the now, I'm just so glad you're not alone thanks to the super support your parents are giving you, and that the cardiologist respects your decision not to put yourself through another cardioversion.
Too right - there is always a chance and we're all here hoping yours comes up sooner rather than later.

You need an offload, no need to apologise, that's one of the things we are all here for, and thank goodness you have such brilliant parents. I always thought there was a limit to how many cardioversions you can have and it sounds as if you've reached that and your cardiologist does listen to you and agrees, and I'm sure he is pushing for you as much as he can. Obviously, apart from your family everyone here (extended family) too is hoping so much that you'll have good news about surgery soon. You are an amazing inspiration to other people, no doubt at a considerable cost to yourself keeping positive, and it would be good to think that you can draw on our love and good wishes to help you along this hard journey
Good morning Tori, sorry to hear you have had another relapse. Hang on in there, you are one of the bravest people I know.
How about telling an old bugger what a cardioversion is 🤔🙆♂️🤣🤣 xx
Hi, presumably you are saying that you did a self cardioversion with medication ? I think you need to be investigated more thoroughly, as you possibly need an electric shock to correct it followed by appropriate medication. You may need an ablation as well. I had a very successful ablation but had to contiue with 60mg Tildiem twice a day. Whilst i was waiting for the ablstion I kept going into AFib so was given 90mg Tildiem three times a day which proved too much and a recorded 208 bpm I dropped to 45 bpm and on a couple of occasions as low as 35 bpm, I really felt ill, it was reduced to 90mg twice a day and that controlled things until the ablation. I have had virtually no problems since, I wish you an end to your problems, good luck.
I bet Tori wished it was that easy !!!

I am very sad to hear that. I couldn't read all the posts due to lack of time so may have picked that up. Due to my AF and very fast heartbeat I have had many strokes in the brain, they don't affect you very much but have a cumalative effect. I wish you the very best and hope your doctors can give you what you need ASAP. God bless.
Thank you. It’s going to a long road but I will get there. I hope your ok
Think of you and the difficult time you are having. Hopefully, at the very least, your repeated hospital visits and treatment needs are helping to speed your progress, through the NHS, to your new heart. You are part of so many people's lives here on the forum. You are amazing.
