Currently on Avastin. Hands seizing up badly and Painful stiff shoulders. Anyone had the same?
I had 6 x
taxol
and
carbo
wich finished in December 2019. I've been having Avastin since my 2nd chemo infusion. Avastin is continuing but I've had to postpone #13 infusion. I've mentioned before on this forum about my painful stiff shoulders...

Disappointed
Three weeks ago after discovering this site , I started on the lchf diet . I was elated when I quickly lost almost 2.3 kg . However weight loss has now skidded to a halt and to top it all I’m having trouble with constipation which is making me miserable . Anybody got any ideas ?

Is the chicken-off still going? Buffalo Wings....
I am just enjoying buffalo wings. That's fried or - in my case - baked chicken wings tossed in butter/chilli sauce, accompanied by a blue cheese dressing. Today, that is a Shropshire Stilton dressing 😋. With traditional celery and a tray of baked veggies, because if I am turning on the oven in this

Thoughts on clinical trial
Hi everyone I am received the consent form for the trial and I'm trying to make an informed decision as to whether I should still do this. It is called the bracelet study and is Phase 2. I am due to start my first treatment June 10th if I decide to go this route. I'm not too concerned about the first

Update to liver Mets and other issues from scan
I saw my doctor today. This is another one of those times when I like to tell people I wouldn't wish breast cancer on anyone but it's very interesting with all of its twists and turns. So I was supposed to go on one clinical trial but that will not start for probably a couple of months. My options were

XELODA
Anyone have problems on Xeloda? I feel I have lost my life . I sleep a lot during the day, fall over a lot. Have terrible tummy troubles. Can’t get out for much of a walk as all toilets are closed. Hands and feet better since one week off one week off. Wish I was back on taxol but not allowed until November

Side effect: Nail bed pain, darkening and lifting
Has anyone experienced this painful horrific side effect?? I am on Taxol (one more round to go thank God) and I am experiencing this. None have lifted yet but it feels like its on its way to doing so. Even typing this post is painful.

Anyone else have this happen?
Hi. I have clear cell ovarian cancer, the fun one. I have had the hysterectomy, oopherotomy whatever...in other words, there is nothing left there. I completed the standard carboplatin, taxol and avastin. I am on maintenance Avastin. My latest bloodwork shows CA125 increasing and gyno-oncologist

It's back
I had been concerned that because of my age - 73, treatment might be hard to come by, but he suggested that as I have been NED for two and a half years it would be
Carbo
again with Caelex rather than
Taxol
as I suffered with severe neuropathy last time. Any thoughts on this combo would be welcome.

Nausea 1 week after carbo taxol
Also...has anyone had crazy bladder pain from
carbo
taxol
(paclitaxol)? I think it's probably just my dumb body (I have bladder issues in the past) but figured I'd ask.

Supplements during treatment
Hi, I am half way through my chemo (
carbo
/
taxol
) and am awaiting surgery in the next couple of weeks. I have a very healthy diet (fruit/veg/nuts/berries/green tea and olive oil) and a positive mind. But I was wondering what supplements are advisable. Many thanks.

Tel. Consultation.
She has suggested I can wait and have blood tests and scans,or zap it with
carbo
/
taxol
, or immunotherapy. The last thing I know nothing about. Anyway it was quite a long consultation, and very informative.

Genomic testing for the right drug for your type of cancer cell.
Hi Ladies, I hope everyone is staying safe and at home. I did the Genomic testing and thought the drug they put me on would be a miracle, well not true. After being on Gemzar every three weeks on one off. My oncologist said it was not working. My markers went from around 780 to 3,800 So I am not lucky

Preventing/treating neuropathy from Abraxane or Taxol?
I've had six Abraxane treatments since February. I'm thrilled that it's dropping my cancer marker, but I think I'm starting to have a bit of neuropathy...either that or someone is sneaking into my bedroom in the middle of the night and putting pins in the pad of my big toes. I take L-Glutamine for

Latest News - what a difference a day makes
Dear All, Went to have my stomach drain fitted today and they drained nearly 4 litres - feel has if I have given birth to my son again and to top it all my oncologist rang me to say that on my third round of weekly Taxol the CA125 has gone from 3000 to 900. I know that I shouldn't get too excited but
