Supplements
Has anyone ever been given calciferol vitamin d and
calcium
tablets? My onc asked the GP to prescribe after I asked her if there were any supplements I should take. I read there were possible side effects from excess
calcium
in the urine .

Blood test results.
The white cell count is now a healthy 6.1 ( 3.5 - 11.0), & the
calcium
is now in range. I have included the tests that I should have had in the past, ( like prolactin & Parathyroid) they were ordered but not done when needed, these are as I would now expect - normal.

Not Rhumatoid arthritis, not high calcium level but a hair line fracture!!
I was told just before Christmas that my hip pain might be due to rheumatoid arthritis, then got a letter to say that my
calcium
levels were high so I had to stop taking the
calcium
tablets.

Calcium
Since adopting a vegan diet I've thought a lot of how to ensure adequate nutrients but one I've overlooked is
calcium
. I see the NHS guideline is 700mg a day. How do we ensure we get that?

Lime in water
Hi all, I have been taking
calcium
but don't like doing so, and need magnesium as a consequence too. But now I have reduced to 2mg and I have my own well with lots of lime (CaCO3) in it. I was thinking that getting it all the tea I drink, several cups, several times a day may be enough.

Radiation and MBC
For the first time though my blood test pre treatment showed my
Calcium
level a bit low. I take 5 Adcal +D3 over every two day period. I wondered if my level dropped due to Radiation but apparently this isn’t so. I have to increase the Adcal now.

Stressed and Confused
I had a
Calcium
CT scan which was mildly raised then everything got put on hold because of Covid. They finally got round to testing me today and that's when they found the 50 percent blocked artery.

Clopidrogel and vitamins
I thought Vit k2 was essential for getting
calcium
into the bones. But don’t want to take it if it is going to interfere with my blood thinner. Also niacin (Vitamin b3) is this ok with Clopidrogel? (I think it can thin your blood and possibly cause bleeding?)

Leg cramps during/after ADT.
Calcium
and Magnesium levels are normal. I am now 3 months out from the 2 year duration and still having this problem. Was tested for circulation in lower extremities and found to be normal. Is the Lupron responsible?

Reintroducing dairy
Do you think I should also take
calcium
? Because if I'm not eating dairy a bit of almond milk isn't going to be enough is it? There's 120mg of
calcium
per 100ml so I'd need near on 600ml to get the 700mg daily requirement.

Due to my bones trying to repair themselves my serum
calcium
dropped to dangerous levels and was likely the cause of my night time restless legs. Serum
calcium
was 6.9 but more importantly my ionized
calcium
was 3.7. Alk Phos was 680.
