Shout out to my GP
old shoulder break and the arthritis; discussed a DEXA scan, not happening as the rheumatologists don’t think it’s needed so discussed the usefulness of Aledronic Acid at this stage to help prevent osteoporosis - not taking it as yet, I’m not happy to add extra drugs into my regime, but using the

Diet Supplements
I ordered some and see there is 200mg of
calcium
in them. I’ve read that too much Vit C can be harmful. One of my GPS sneered at me when I mentioned supplements so I don’t know how to get the best advice about what can and can’t be taken with my meds. Any ideas?

Calcium products and calcification of coronary artery,
Hi, I had a stent in left coronary artery due to
calcium
deposits and narrowing on angiogram 3 years ago, all other arteries were fine. I read a lot of stuff about
calcium
supplements laying down
calcium
on your arteries causing a blockage.

TSH.. 0.05..gp concerned
I really I'm at a loss as to what to say to this gp🤷♀️ since 2020 my
calcium
and parathyroid hormone as being bouncing around from over to mid, normal, I feel awful but don't think this is due to my T3 medication like the gp is saying, this is such a uphill struggle and stressful time as I'm clearly

Calcium excess might lead to Parkinson's
Did you take a
calcium
supplement for stronger bones? https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2018/02/180219071758.htm A point that should be made: The plaques in your bloodstream are mostly cholesterol and

, but the doctor recommends a lower cholesterol diet and doesn't mention the

K2 and suspected blood clot
Hello I have been taking k2mk7 in conjunction with
calcium
magnesium citrate and D3. I started getting a dull nagging pain in my calf and had blood test showing elevated d dimer indicative of blood clot. I have a scan tomorrow.

Advised to take vitamin D but also on Warfarin
Problem is that I'm reading that those taking vitamin D should also take Vitamin K2 to ensure
calcium
deposits into the bones and not the arteries. For those of us on Warfarin what are we advised to do? Are we predisposing ourselves to blocked arteries while avoiding clots?

Acerola powder and it’s composition. Is calcium a problem
My new brand of acerola powder contains
calcium
, which my old brand probably did too, given that it’s a natural product but I was wondering, is 8.5mgs daily all that much and irrespective of whether or not it is, should it be avoided? Please check my calculations.

The French Paradox - Why the French Have the Lowest Incidence of Heart Disease in the Developed World
K2 moves
calcium
from the bloodstream to the bones where it is needed. Most people don't have sufficient levels of K2 in their diet or through supplements, so the
calcium
remains in their bloodstream and calcifies the arteries over time.

Calcichew and K2
It has
calcium
and D3. I've read that one should take K2 to make sure the
calcium
goes to the bones and not arteries so why was I not put on K2 also. Do any of you taking Calcichew take D3 and if so how much? I'd love your thought on this. Thanks in advance.

Interesting article on iron, fortified foods etc
Don’t eat iron-rich foods with
calcium
.
Calcium
inhibits iron absorption. If you want to increase iron absorption in your meal and can tolerate dairy, don’t eat them together. This could mean not adding cheese to your eggs or goat cheese to your spinach salad. Eliminate refined grains and flour.
