Blood test help
Hi I wonder if you'd mind raising any problems with my bloods please. I recently saw an endocrinologist for my chronic insomnia, which I believe is caused by my low cotisol/low DHEA. I am always struggling with low ferritin, and even more now I've gone off liver and liver pate. I am trying to eat

Additional meds from my GP?
Hi Everyone, First to say I am pleased to have just about survived the first Mothering Sunday since my wife Sue's death. Not only the Mum of our lovely 3 kids, but she 'mothered me' too, and I miss it - (as our youngest kindly commented on my Fbook "You were her biggest challenge Dad!!). Also pleased

Magnesium citrate
Does anyone on here take Magnesium citrate long-term? I started taking it just before Xmas after finding a recommendation on here & it has definitely helped with constipation. Having done a bit more research with Mr. Google I am a bit worried that prolonged use can have side effects.

You are not alone
I fought taking something for low bone density from prednisone. Asked my PC if I could try calcium and vitamin D first because I was so afraid of the side effects. I regret waiting now because things got worse. I talked it over with my dentist and she set my mind at ease by telling me she had many patients

I’ve started on Diltiazem 60mg twice a day. I’ve been on it for2weeks now. I just wondered whether it is too soon to expect an improvement in my AF ? My pulse is very irregular most of the time ! I did have an ablation 7 years ago but recently the AFhas returned . I am now 76 and would prefer not to

My journey and experience with PMR
My journey and experience with PMR since September 2021. I had some core inclusion criteria for PMR, including blood results ( ESR and CRP ) were high. I was prescribed Prednisolone and within six weeks, I had reduced my prednisolone from 20mg to 2.5mg. This was my decision . I was surprised that I

Is mineral water good or bad?
Unlike a lot of you who are petite, I'm medium frame and slightly overweight. When I was diagnosed with op, I started going overboard on things like almonds and cheese. I now realize I've gained 10 pounds that might cause other health issues if I don't stop it I take a few supplements, (D3 and K2 MK7

Update and first time referral to a neph...
Hi everyone, This is my second post. My first post, my husband had been leaking protein and was told it would go away. A year later, he still has it. Now he's being referred to a Nephrologist for the first time. Does anyone have any suggestions or tips on what to ask? He's not diabetic and his blood

Adcal or not
The doctor suggests that
calcium
carbonate would be better changed to
calcium
citrate
. I have been taking Adcal for 8 +Years and have an increasingly bad stomach and the GP has given me Lansoprazole. I have to say I haven't taken this. An attempt at Oneprazole gave me agonising stomach pains.
