Increasing my pred - didn't!
We didn't discuss PMR with my daughter only to say I have changed from Calceos to
Calcichew
so now I drink and eat anything anytime so less problems for me. (Last time we were there Calceos and Lanzoprazole were taken at wrong times as meals changed at last minute).

Her advice was to take my 2 Codeine, 2 Omeprazol 100 Thyroxine 1
Calcichew
all at once then refill the box. I said that I might be inclined to take them again later in the day as I am scatty.

Does Calcichew interact badly with bisoprolol
I have been taking
Calcichew
(1 a day) for many years for my osteoporosis but have only been on Bisoprolol since my AF became persistent last Sept. I do not get my
Calcichew
on prescription but purchase at my local chemist. Just wondered if anyone out there is taking both
Calcichew
and Bisoprolol.

Osteoporosis diagnosis
She has prescribed
Calcichew
a calcium carbonate which I think is poorly absorbed and also has said to take 500mg only as she doesn't want me saturated with calcium! I am due to have bloods taken on Feb 16th and she asked me not to take the calcium until after that.

Calcichew for selftesters
Recently I used my testing machine ( my tablet won't let me type the name ) to test my I.N.R.. and the reading was 5.7. I waited 10 mins and did it again, this time it was 4.1 and 10 mins later it was 4.6. I went to my G.P.s and their machine tested me at 3.7. Clearly a problem. I rang Roche and they

Hello!
I take 1 x 100mg eltroxine,
calcichew
D3 Forte x 6 and 2 x alpha (can't remember its name!) along with loads of painkillers! I've to go back to hospital next week for bloods, removal of stitches and check-up. So that's my story so far. Look forward to sharing with you all!

Neck pain and numb thumb
Also taking 75mg aspirin/ day and 2
calcichew
/day. Six weeks ago I started on methotrexate-now at 15mg/week and 5mg folic acid. The bit I can't understand is I have recently developed pain at the front base of my neck on RHS sort of behind my collar bone that doesn't fade across the day.

Adcal-D3 caplets
Today my query is about taking Adcal-D3 which my surgery has changed from
Calcichew
. The
Calcichew
was not a problem to take as they could be sucked or chewed, I kept mine by the bed and had the morning one before I got up and the evening one with yogurt.

Alendronic Acid
I take the
calcichew
tablets every day. He was very adament that I should take the Alendronic acid as he said that my bone density would be plummeting. I understand his concerns but have not had a Dexa scan so don't even know what my bone density is like.

Bad taste
Has anyone had experience of loss of sense of taste and smell after being on

for a while. Its not due to injury as it didn't start until at least 3 weeks after. Also on gabapentin, can taste a little in the mornings before taking any meds but otherwise nothing...

PMR and GCA
He also prescribed Alendronic Acid and
Calcichew
. I was very unsure about taking the AA as I had read a lot about it, but another GP in our practice thought I should as I was to be on preds for a long time.

Bone scan and Calcium Vit D
The results of my bone scan showed osteopenia, no different to the scan from 5 - 6 years ago when I was started on
Calcichew
D3. I also upped my exercise regime and have lost weight in the past two years.
