Buscopan

I started taking my Buscopan religiously three days ago but no change. Does this sound familiar to you guys? You all know what it’s like with the worry/pain cycle. I should also say that I’ve been having a period of stress and worry. Many thanks and gentle hugs. Roo xxx

I have tried fybrogel,satsumas,apples,bananas,buscopan,grapes.And then my sister-in law told me tonight to try a teaspoon full of baking soda in a quarter of a cup of warm water.Id never heard of this remedy before.So tonight I tried it and within an hour I needed to go.

Nothing to worry about, asked if I should keep taking the Buscopan and Immodium and he replied yes, then take care, goodbye! He was very polite but it felt very rushed.

I take 150mg Mebeverine three times a day, as required Buscopan and Colpermin. I eat around 6-7pm in the evening. Also on Lansoprazole for the reflux. Thank you.

I have been recommended buscopan and peppermint tea however I do not believe they are helping. Has anyone else experienced this?

I take buscopan, mebeverine and peppermint oil capsules but I cannot even be sure that they help me. I will sometimes use codeine if it is very bad.

Was diagnosed with IBS originally and given buscopan to help (did not help in the slightest). It got to a point lately where I pushed to be seen again as it's affecting my life more. I had a FIT test which was raised for Crohn's and UC, also blood was detected.

Buscopan helps to reduce symptoms quickly but I know you can't take this long term. Or can you? Does anyone else struggle with sleeping? I seem OK and relaxed when I go to bed, but as soon as I lay down, the gurgling and cramps start, which are impossible to sleep through .

Reading on the web that I could take the buscopan and Imodium IBS together I had quite a few, and then a Buscopan each time I went to the loo. Joy of Joys after an hour it calmed down and I was able to relax for the first time since thursday. It lasted into the evening and all night.

The docs have previously said to take Buscopan so I do, they offered no other advice after blood tests came back saying I have no intolerances.

Eventually went back to the the doctors after my mother having cervical cancer problems all her life and was told ‘they think it’s endometriosis well it’s pointing to that 95%’ but still refused a smear test or in-depth testing, I was given an ultrasound and told to take buscopan and paracetamol&ibuprofen

I later was tried on antibiotics again followed by probiotics, and I’ve also been on mebeverine, buscopan, probably other medications etc which I can’t remember because I’ve lost track of everything I’ve tried.

I woke up this morning when to toilet had a good bowel movement then felt normal had some buscopan and wham I started with trapped wind. I ve not had anything to eat so I know it’s not food, the pain it all across my stomach, lower back, chest and left shoulder.

I've tried buscopan which seemed to make it worse. I now take gripe wate every day to help with the bloating, and suprisingly Rennies seem to help settle my stomach when it feels like its churning. I cut out wheat and dairy for 2 weeks (as told by the doctor at A&E).

My question is, Buscopan does seem to help me somewhat (discovered after talking to a friend), is it safe to take this regularly please? I.e. daily or several days a week? I've tried researching on here but no real clear indication Thank you so much

I've tried various combinations of antacids, buscopan and painkillers which never work reliably.

Saturday X2 BM through the day type 4 Today 1 small BM type 4 and then ran to the toilet with a large type 7 I have also had constant stomach cramps been taking buscopan will little effect. Am getting to the point where I don’t want to eat anything as am scared. Please can anyone help.

Also Buscopan says only to be taken for two weeks? Can I not take anymore and does anyone know how long there effects last? Cheers.

Have an appointment in 2 weeks with the hospital for a consultation about having a colonoscopy, I tried buscopan, ibuprofen to no avail and ended up having a co-codamol which did take the edge off the pain… Does anyone have any hints tips ?

DR prescribed for me mebeverine and buscopan but it doesnt help much especially when i have IBS attack . i'm vegetarian and most of food causes pain after i eat. i tried the mint tea its good but its not good for the acid reflux. some times i drink chamomile tea it helps but for a little time not
