Bupropion

I think bupropion is a dopamine based treatment rather than serotonin, so should be OK....just wondered whether anyone has tried it and what the side effects were for them if any? Many thanks. This forum is an absolute Godsend.

Lyrica can be increased and also get off prosaic which aggravates RLS and take bupropion. I hate to say this....even though I'm not usually superstitious...but I haven't had symptoms for almost 3 months now and do not want to "rain on my own parade".

I now take the extended release (Concerta, 54mg) daily with Bupropion ER (300mg), and it has helped somewhat (i.e., I can focus for longer, but it hasn't helped with procrastination, being increasingly late to things, and getting fixated on an emotion, especially when it's one of guilt/shame at failing

I've been on the bupropion for two weeks now and either the episodes have slowed down or I've gotten better at holding them in. I'm not sure. Anyway, any advice?

I tried bupropion 150mg XL and it drove me up a wall after 5 days and I had two major panic attacks, one landing me in the ER. I stopped it immediately and the panic attacks went away. I have done my research on SSRIs and it's frightening.

Does it make sense to start taking bupropion in the evening when taking all these RLS meds? Do I have my facts straight? Has anyone heard or read whether bupropion has any effect on RLS symproms?

I should mention the doctor put me on bupropion about 5 months ago for depression but I don't think it's helping. I can cry at the drop of a hat, get incredibly frustrated & have some serious suicidal ideation going on.

For clinicians' ratings of adult patients, amphetamines, methylphenidate, bupropion, and atomoxetine were better than placebo, but modafinil was not.

My life has changed since then, I had to quit drinking, consuming cocaine, started taking Clonazepam, Paroxetine and Bupropion (pardon me if those are not the exact names in English).

Cymbalta, Bupropion, Fluoxetine, Pristiq, Effexor, Abilify, Lamictal, Paxil, etc. etc. etc. Nothing ever really helped. Most recently I was on Trintellix starting last July. Then I started getting strange visible bleeding in my urine!! Horrifying and scary.

I’m in the middle of changing my Bupropion from one manufacturer to another. For whatever reason the pharmaceutical company that made the Bupropion HCL 150mg changed their formula. I didn’t find this out until I took it and had a bad reaction. I’ve been on this medication forever.

At beginning of my illness I used to manage it with Wellbutrin Xl (bupropion) and it was great to the extent that I felt like Parkinson did not affected my lower body.

I am passing through a severe spell of a panic attack, anxiety, and suicidal thoughts ... already taking bupropion and quetiapine. but symptoms have bounced back after eight years... my head is always boiling, complete seizure of fear and weeping spells... can anyone help

I have been in different drugs since then (mirapex,amantadine,neuropropatch,artane, ropirinole,neurontin,selegiline,bupropion, sinemet) sometimes three or more of them at same time in addition to natural supplements.

I then consulted a Thai psych, who did tell me that I was showing symptoms of clinical depression (suicidal thoughts and self harm), and put me on Bupropion.

She did not want to take the responsibility of prescribing Bupropion (Zyban) as it is not licenced for depression. Anyone lucky enough to get it prescribed, any advice on how to get it prescribed here in UK?

I take 40mg of Citalopram , 300mg of buPROPion , and .5 mg of Xanax twice a day as needed. The meds are for depressions and anxiety. I've been taking this medication for about 20 years. Things have been going downhill the last month or so.

Hello, I’m taking bupropion and fluoxetine for my depression. I’m having ongoing issues with itchy ear canals. Anyone else experience this as a side effect to these medications. Thanks for reading.

A psychiatrist who worked with me suggested that i had ADHD and i went to doctor...since then I took Ritalin, Concerta, Venvanse and bupropion (alternating due effects such as anxiety. For this, the times, rivitril). Have already used lamotigina concomitantly once.
