I had 27 radiotherapy sessions, 5 chemotherapy sessions and 3 high dose
brachytherapy
sessions. My bowel issues started very early on and got worse and worse as treatment went on. I finished active treatment on 29th July. I am left with bad bowel/eating issues.

Anyone had High Dose Brachytherapy?
Question: Who here has had High Dose
Brachytherapy
radiation or knows someone who has? Not “seeds” (aka low dose) but High Dose.

Are there benefits of ADT Beyond 18 months?
Specifically, for high risk prostate cancer after EBRT plus LD
brachytherapy
, is there any evidence of benefit of extending ADT beyond 18 months?

HDRT Recommended for stage 7 and 8 cancer found in seminal vesicles
I had
brachytherapy
in 2012 and basically been pretty good since then. It’s ironic that my biggest concerns were hormonal meds sexual side affects and now that concern is all but gone now. Thanks for listening.

Does the Prostate fully recover after radiation?
I just finished HDR
Brachytherapy
. I'm unable to find internet answer to my question. Does the Prostate continue to be partially functional after HDR
Brachytherapy
? Does it become fully functional over time? how long does that take generally?

18 Month Update
After 18 months of ADT plus Abiraterone and HDR
Brachytherapy
and EBRT my WBC is within normal limits for the first time since HDR
Brachytherapy
. My PSA started at 10.28 and decreased 95% the first month of ADT and slowly after that with the last 6 months ranging 0.06 to 0.08.

I am in need of treatment advice for my Prostate cancer
My oncologist has mention I may qualify for Lutetium 177 PSMA 617 treatment, they have also recommended I look into
Brachytherapy
. I’ve requested appointments at Mayo, MD Anderson, U of Chicago and Loma Linda but I’m just not sure how to proceed.

Lupron and High Dose Brachytherapy
The recommended treatment from MSKCC is 4-6months on Lupron and High Dose
Brachytherapy
. I had
Brachytherapy
in 2012 and I’m concerned with more radiation to the area. The doctor who will do the procedure is Michael Zelefsky.

GLEASON EIGHT.
That said, it seems futile to remove the prostate instead of radiation and
brachytherapy
.. If the Gleason eight is on the vesicles seems to me it is almost assured it has already escaped. This was my experience, Thoughts?

Question on brachy.. how you felt?
Hi, If you had external and
brachytherapy
, I’m wondering if you recall how it felt down there afterwards and how long things lasted?

Nearly 7 years after diagnosis - it's decision time.
Mainly for that reason, I've definitely ruled out surgery and have been weighing up the pros & cons of HIFU versus HDR
brachytherapy
as a monotherapy. I would certainly consider SBRT/ proton and other focal therapies too but they are not easily available here in the UK on the NHS.

Anyone with knowledge, personal experience, studies, trials with Radical Prostatectomy after bone, lymph node and/or soft tissue metastases?

What Do You Make of This?
Is this saying that targeted treatment with no or limited ADT would have been sufficient, especially if HDR
brachytherapy
were used with IMRT?

High risk treatment - go conventional or experimental?
My sense is that despite a one-week sojourn in Seattle it would be more streamlined and perhaps as effective as the androgen deprivation therapy, external beam radiotherapy to the pelvis and an LDR
brachytherapy
boost I would get in BC (within or not within a trial).

My 12 month Journey on Active Surveillance
He then went on telling me the details and started explaining my options, surgery, radiation,
brachytherapy
and so on. He then pretty much narrowed it down and suggested that surgery was my best option given my age (at the time I was 51).
