Brachytherapy - Yes or No?
I know that the cancer may appear at the top of the vagina and if it does then
Brachytherapy
would prevent this. However, if I don't get this done know and it does appear, I can get it done then.

My Recurrent Prostate Cancer
In June 2011, I had
brachytherapy
. My PSA dropped to 0.1 by Dec 2012 and remained around that until Dec 2014. Then it started rising: July 2015: 0.4, July 2016:1.5. A second biopsy in Aug 2016 found no cancer inside the prostate.

Two Months Post LDR Brachytherapy Update
It's been a while since we've posted here, but I'd like to update this forum of hubby's progress. So far he's in great spirit and doing good and even managed to work from home thanks to a supporting employer which has made a huge difference given the amount of time my husband has to use the restroom.

ADT and Heart Disease
Rejected surgery in favor of ADT ( firmagon and zytiga) followed by
brachytherapy
and SBRT. ADT just started this month and already he has some indication of heart arrhythmia. Not sure if he will need new cardiovascular meds or pacemaker. I am in awe of the knowledge and courage of this community.

Brain Fog
I am tired of telling my story, so let me keep it brief: diagnosed 2004 (
brachytherapy
[failed]), salvage RP 2010 [failed], currently on Zytiga.

No Partner. Is it Realistic or Even Right To Seek One?
After 37 EBRT, LD
brachytherapy
then 10 follow-up EBRT sessions for pelvic lymph nodes early this year, (Precautionary, no mets suspected there) my T and PSA levels have been undetectable for several months. All scans are clean. It's possible the suspected met on my hip was not a met.

PSA getting lower 3 months after HDR and my last ebeam
I had ebeam and HDR
brachytherapy
concurrently starting last March finished early April 2018. 25 ebeam and 2 HDR. I opted out of hormone therapy and prostate surgery. My PSA was 40 before I started treatments and at one month after it was 20 and now 3 months it's at 15.7.

Frequent urination post Brachytherapy
Hi Everyone, The doctor prescribed my husband 0.4 mg (once a day) flomax to take around bedtime to relax the bladder. However, it does not work. My husband has been taking this for about 10 days now and since the Brachy (last Friday) his urination routine has gotten out of control having to go the restroom

Persisting burning sensation and fatigue following LDBT
My husband has now hit the 10 days mark of this low dose
brachytherapy
. A total of 114 seeds were implanted in his prostate. He initially experienced frequent urinary trips to the bathrooms which were resolved by taking two Flomax a day.

After chemotherapy I will be having
Brachytherapy
radiation. 3 to 4 treatments, one treatment per week. If you’ve had this type of radiation I would be interested in hearing how it went for you.

Coming to terms with prostate cancer not easy
Looking into
brachytherapy
coupled with prior hormone therapy, and also Proton beam therapy if bone scan confirms cancer localised and not extracapsular. There is also the nanoknife or IRE option - available only in one private hospital in London (The Princess Grace Hospital).

I'm going in for my 2nd HDR

Brachytherapy
treatments with me or ask me any questions about my experience, feel free.

Gleason 9 and had a kidney transplant 2 years ago
I have started hormone therapy and the medical team have proposed HDR
Brachytherapy
to minimise damage to my transplanted kidney, which is fairly low in the abdomen. My last PSA was 25.4. I have started a mostly vegan diet plus fish. Has anybody out there had a kidney transplant and got PCa?

New Guy
Urologist recommended treatment, either surgery or HDR
Brachytherapy
. I chose HDR
Brachytherapy
at UCLA. I had my 1st treatment May 23, the 2nd and last treatment is scheduled on May 31. There was a lot of unexpected pain during the 1st treatment. I'm dreading having the 2nd treatment.
