Decided on brachyboost plus 6 months ADT
After a lot of research, questions and consults, he has decided on brachyboost (EBRT plus
brachytherapy
) plus 6 months of ADT. It was a tough decision and we both know way more about prostate cancer now that we ever wanted to, but I am glad we did our due diligence.

Mo recommending proton?
In my case it was necessary to educate myself fully about proton vs ebrt,
brachytherapy
which took some time. The discussion with mo went in the direction of trials not conclusive on outcomes of one over another and proton centers having large financial burdens. But!

After my
brachytherapy
my PSA start to increase (0.18). I started including tomato paste (high in lycopene) in my morning breakfast smoothie (about 2 oz). My next PSA was 0.09. Will have another PSA in about a month and see what is happening. Best wishes

After your diagnosis of uterine cancer, how was your experience with the healthcare system?
However, since it showed serous features, my oncologist recommended chemo and
brachytherapy
. Not what I was expecting, but I wanted to hit this thing with everything available to reduce my chances of recurrence.

Radiation Treatment for Gleason 8 with Rectal Lymph Node
Brachytherapy
? Triplet Therapy? SpaceOar to protect rectum? How many treatments? When will we know if it is effective? How is that measured? Side effects to expect? Duration? Any risks from other health conditions Or medications?

Any suggestions for headache?
After initial diagnosis in 2015, I've had EBRT;
brachytherapy
; chemo in 2019; ADT since 2019 chemo; two bone Mets on spine since 2019, but no detectable PSA. Have been on Orgovyx since December, 2020. Still have everyday, lowgrade --- not migraine --- headaches, for which I take Excedrin.

Has anyone chosen SBRT despite preexisting urethritis?
What I need to know is if the urethral/prostate irritation is stress-induced and here’s why: I soon need to make a choice between SBRT,
Brachytherapy
, or surgery for aggressive PCa.

I had
brachytherapy
6 years ago for prostate cancer, Gleason score 6. PSA went down to under 1. Now it has risen over the years to 10.8 but all scans, PET, CT, and biopsy of prostate are totally clear.

SBRT as salvage treatment
Initially i had EBRT (18 years ago)… The study articles seem to indicate that it would have similar SE’s as HD
brachytherapy
… My concern has been having additional radiation. Thanks

Newbie !
I had 27 radiotherapy sessions, 5 chemotherapy sessions and 3 high dose
brachytherapy
sessions. My bowel issues started very early on and got worse and worse as treatment went on. I finished active treatment on 29th July. I am left with bad bowel/eating issues.

Anyone had High Dose Brachytherapy?
Question: Who here has had High Dose
Brachytherapy
radiation or knows someone who has? Not “seeds” (aka low dose) but High Dose.
