Megloblastic anemia again
Hi, all. I recently went through a severe sickness that lasted 4 weeks. It was really hard on my body. I got blood tests done every week. I usually do 2 injections of b12 per week for past 6 months. During my sickness I only did 2 out 8 shots. My last 2 blood tests showed megloblastic anemia. Could

Just an update on my visit to see a consultant privately. He explained my fibro scan has me sitting on the fence for cirrhosis . The doctor who phoned me from the hospital explained I would need a CT scan to look at the bigger picture ,I was told I would need more detailed bloods ,a CT scan ,a dietician

Morning symptoms after taking Levo
Hi friends, my 70 year old hypo mother is having some trouble over the last two weeks. She’s been on Levo for 30 years and her last blood tests were ok. I’m also hypo and have been on these forums a while so I’ve learnt a lot about blood levels on here. Anyway, I don’t have her bloods to post up here

silent Reflux
Hi fellow sufferers I have Lung probs including Bronchiectasis. I have always had a touch of acid reflux but not on a regular basis really. I had a camera down my throat years ago and it was disclosed I had a small Hyitas hernia. I have thought for the last few months had lots of mucous in my throat

Does this look like a malar rash? Would it be seen as one by a doctor, do you think?
I have had joint pain and tiredness for the last six years. This last year it has got significantly worse and although I am overweight, the pain is felt in my fingers and elbows sometimes. My heel and ankle are also badly affected. The fatigue is debilitating. I have also developed digestive issues

Slow recovery and set backs after angiogram and stent
I had an angiogram and stent inserted in late July after three weeks of angina. It was diagnosed as uncontrolled angina, it came on rapidly over three weeks and got worse very quickly. I suspected that is what it was and was happy with what was done and how quickly they did it, arrived 10am, stent inserted

B12 injections stopped by gp after 5 years treatment on nhs
I was diagnosed with chronic b12 deficiency years ago - my GP started giving me injections every 3 months and my nurse told me that it was for life. I’ve always eaten meat my whole life - so my deficiency was not caused by diet. They have stated that my deficiency is due to malabsorption, but my intrinsic

Hi everyone, I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's about five years ago and have been taking levothyroxine ever since. blood tests vs ultra sounds
I am so confused! I have been diagnosed with cirrhosis after a stay in hospital with ascites. What do they pay more attention to the scans or the blood work? It’s so confusing. They say at scans they are for only surveillance of cancerous lesions but can they tell if the cirrhosis has gotten worse even

How long does it take for NHS to run this test? I had the test done last Tuesday, but the results are still not showing on my records.

Flare confirmed with PET scan
This is an update which I promised from my previous post and I have some questions at the end. About a month ago I reported that I had stopped Tocilizumab and I was waiting to see if the GCA had gone into remission. I had no GCA symptoms and no eye problems confirmed by the ophthalmologist. I felt better
