Inflammation and RLS
I have always believed that inflammation was part of my RLS. I believe this because my RLS responds well to ibuprofen. A recent blog was using this study http://www.smj.org.sg/sites/default/files/SMJ-57-514.pdf The study is from 2016. The study proposes to use the neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio

Rise in CA 125
I had a blood test today which shows my CA 125 has risen from 260 to 380. I’ve read that normal range is considerably lower so should i be concerned? Will obviously speak to my oncologist but not sure when. Thanks in advance J

Thyroid results-Hashimotos?
Hello, Looking for some help in interpreting thyroid results. I've been testing privately over the last two years. Does this show Hashimotos and would it be enough for a GP to take seriously? Since having my son three years ago I've had many unexplained symptoms - weight gain, swollen legs, fatigue,

Private blood test providers
hello My nutritionist suggested recently that Medichecks blood tests are possibly not as good as they might be. Not sure what this is about, but can anyone suggest some other UK private blood testing facility that is reliable? Thank you

Blood test percentages over years.
This is an amazing forum. Thank you so much to the admin team and the people who've taken the time to reply to my previous posts. I'd be lost without you 🙏 One of the most important things that I've learnt on here is to work out the percentage through the range with respect to blood tests. With

Advice needed on iron/ferritin levels please
I'd be really grateful if anyone could advise on whether I need to be concerned about my iron/ferritin levels. I'm seeing a neurologist tomorrow and want to be well informed. I have results from my last three blood tests so hopefully that might help. Serum iron level: October 2023 - 7.7 umol/L; January

vegan, thyroid test & iodine
hello I have symptoms of hypothyroidism but haven’t been diagnosed. I have a thyroid function blood test in 1 week. I am vegan and take an iodine supplement as I don’t eat seaweed or use iodised salt. Should I continue to take my iodine tablet up till the test date or should I stop taking it?

Update re blood test
Hi everyone, I've been given my cholesterol results and told my thyroid results are normal. T4 - 12.1 TSH - 3 Do you agree these results are normal? I wasn't given ranges or anything. I'm undecided whether or not to get private tests done to get a full picture. My doctor doesn't seem encouraging about

Post heart attack
Hello again, I posted on here a few months back regarding my husbands palpitations. Things have moved on a bit since then , he has been having random chest pain and saw the doctor, he reassured him that the pain was most likely muscle strain … not sure about that . He had recent blood tests as he is

Am I now hyperthyroid? Still struggling to loose weight
Hi all, So doctor increased my levothyroxine dose to 75mcg once a day a few months back (on my request). He told me bloods were fine. Had a blood test last week to check dosage. TSH 0.09m/uL (only one they checked) Is this now too low? I'm still really struggling to lose weight. Sleeping much better
