A bit confused
I notice quite often that posts here include results of acronyms such as ALT, LPT etc and things like Bilrubin. Are they important and how do you get hold of these please as we have never heard of them before coming on here? My husband was diagnosed 4 years ago with Cirrhosis and has been in and out

Facing thyroid surgery?
Have you been told that you're hyperthyroid, and / or been told that you need to have your thyroid removed – but you're not convinced because your symptoms don't seem to match the diagnosis? That's exactly where I was nine years ago – and I want to urge you to follow your instincts ! To put it simply

Why would my FT4 change?
Hi, My thyroid has been ok for some years now, I have generally felt quite well. A recent GP blood test flagged up that my FT4 is at the bottom of the range. I am currently taking 120mg of NDT, I was on 240mg for many years but was told I must reduce my dosage as my TSH was 0.05. I reduced the dosage

Thyroid private blood tests - new company
Hi - A couple weeks ago someone posted a new company offering thyroid tests that have blood drawing clinics in London and is very reasonably priced. I have just had an unfortunate experience with Medichecks as the clinic I chose in London had no appointments for over a month. I am being issued a refund

Just like that, it’s over :(
After 6 transfers, (8&9) embryos I had my first ever positive on OTD. It wasn’t the strongest line but did get slightly stronger over the few days. Just tested today and it’s gone back to being faint. blood test tomorrow at the clinic tomorrow but I already know it’s over. I couldn’t help but feel

Need Help with Diagnosis
I'm new to investigating thyroid issues, so I need some help from experts please. My husband has been suffering increasing fatigue for several years now, and he's always much colder than anyone else in the room. I understand that both of these can be symptoms of thyroid issues. Thyroid problems also

B12 and Ferritin results
Just had blood tests and results for B12 are 201 (110-900) and ferritin 59 (30-337). Am I right in thinking these should be higher?

Last year I had frequent admissions to Hospital. 29 days spent in the Glenfield, 10 days with Northampton and more recently in March with Glenfield. When I went for my follow-up appointment it was suggested
