PSA to have stabilized after skyrocketing. What does this mean?
With PSA rising very rapidly four months ago after finishing Eclipse Trial, I had SBRT done immediately followed by Provenge. PSA on the day of SBRT was 2.0. It’s my understanding that Provenge will not affect PSA testing so it’s hard to determine progress. Obviously, there is still cancer still there

deranged LFT and Gallbladder perforation
hi, hoping someone may have experience like mine. I had a perforated gallbladder whilst in hospital with Sepsis back in November. Because of my weight and existing issue the team didn’t want to operate as keyhole wasn’t an option so would have involved open surgery. So I was put on antibiotics for 6

Add Nubeqa to Orgovyx?

Unsure of best option in early prostate cancer diagnosis.
I have had PSA tests annually for 10 years and in Oct 2023 had an elevated 6.42 result. Was referred to a urologist, whom performed a DRE. There was prostate enlargement but no tumor discovered through DRE. After discussing several options, I decided to have a biopsy on Nov 21, 2023. Dec 5, 2023,

Provenge (only) - impact on overall survival
I just got insurance approval for Provenge...out of pocket is really high so now I'm doing a cost benefit analysis in my mind. I've seen many different articles showing that Provenge ALONE only extends overall survival by 4-15 months. Does that sound correct? Tall_Allen mentioned adding xofigio for

Dosage for gabapentin enacarbil ( also known as horizant).
I have been on gabapentin neurontin for several months but I read that on the Mayo website that the time release version (horizant) is better suited for treating RLS. I currently take 1200 mg of gabapentin neurontin in two doses at 7 and bedtime. I have now convinced my doctor to prescribe the horizant

Update on NOT a UTI
Hi, just to update. I had the cystoscopy this morning, not a pleasant experience, but no cancer, no inflammation and no gritty substance, so that at least is good. She did say some people's kidneys do just excrete microscopic blood particles as their normal, but that I possibly have overactive bladder

Nerves taken
I need some understanding. A friend just shared that he had a G8 and a psa of 10.2. He had a RALP and the doc said the cancer was contained to the prostate. Then he said that the doc took both nerve bundles (R & L). How is the cancer contained but required both nerve bundles to be taken?

Not a UTI
Thinking I had picked up a UTI (strange feeling in bladder area and frequent feeling of needing to urinate) I requested a urine test, which was done. The triage nurse at my surgery informed me that although it showed no infection there were in fact microscopic traces of blood in there, (which would be

CGA and urogram
Hi All good advisers. Have been on pred for CGA since July 2023, starting at 60mg. now at 12 mg with very slow taper. I am having a kidney urogram this April. I am also on metformin 3 x daily 500 mg. I have read that I should stop taking metformin before this procedure. How many days before should

Worse after an UTI and Covid
Good afternoon. About five weeks ago I developed an UTI for which I took three separate courses of antibiotics as it wouldn't clear. In the same period I contracted Covid which didn't affect me much. I only found out that I had it because a friend who I'd spent time with had done a Covid test and it

Orchidectomy vs ADT
For anyone who had the bilateral orchidectomy, I would like some advice for my husband. When was it done? Before or after BCR occurred? What are the side effects? Do you take any other ADT meds after? How is your QOL and is there anything you'd do differently. He had RP in Dec 2021. No other treatment

My Oligometastatic PCa Journey Continues...coming up on year 9!
It's been a while since I've posted. But wanted to offer a note of

oligometastatic prostate cancer
. I was diagnosed in 2015 (227 PSA, Gleason 8, 1 MET in the spine) and still going strong. After years of

Approved additives and E-numbers (UK)
As food additives are often discussed, I thought it might be useful to post the current list of approved additives in the UK. Note that the use of substances in foods is largely separate to their use in medicines. One example being Titanium dioxide which is now banned in foods in the EU and Northern

Has anyone knowledge if...
I have been considering trying 'Theraworx' for nocturnal leg cramps; it has many ingredients including vita. E though the E should be a small amount. Does anyone have any real knowledge if this product would effect PSA levels, or have any effect on the PCa...thank you
