A new immunotherapy trial?
Not really super new...but maybe it could help someone! https://jitc.bmj.com/content/10/Suppl_2/A781 For advanced prostate cancer and other solid tumors

Antibiotics for UTI symptoms
I suspect I have endometriosis after years of painful periods, painful sex and occasional bloating. My symptoms were menstruation specific. The last 2 years I have been almost been symptom free (for some unknown reason) but since Feb I have been having the classic tugging pain from my upper abdomen down

Annual Scans
Hubby is having his annual scans today. Doc ordered CT and bone scan as in the past to compare "apples to apples".At what point should a pet scan be done? Which tracer? His PSA has been in the undetectable range and he is feeling fine besides the regular side effects to the meds.

Very promising trial!
Con't know if it's good for metastatic but still...CRPC is good enough Molecule name: AZD5069 āThis is tremendously exciting and it suggests we have an entirely new way to treat prostate cancer on the horizon,ā said Johann de Bono, a professor of experimental cancer medicine at the Institute of Cancer

teenage bedwetting
I would encourage any teens that are still bedwetting to have a complete urodynamic test run. I didnāt have this done until age 30 but discovered I had a neurogenic bladder and from my history probably since birth. That completely explained my incontinence issues. Would have loved to know this earlier

liver biopsy- what does it mean.
Oncologist doctor ordered the biopsy last year but never really explained it. He only said that the cancer was caused by the prostate cancer. Which was a good sign. Immunohistochemical stains demonstrate tumor cells are positive for NKX3.1, PSA, TTF-1 and focally for CK20, while negative for CK7

Could Morphine accelerate prostate cancer progression?
Is anyone of the opinion that Morphine can accelerate breast, prostate or other cancer progression? I was looking up wether morphine can activate mast cells and found the following: āWe demonstrate that morphine does not influence cancer initiation, but it stimulates the progression of spontaneously

Clear Cell reoccurrence update 3
Hi everyone, I wanted to update you all on todays experience with Professor Jayson at The Christie. Not only was he a lovely gentleman, he gave me hope back, told me I have options. He wants to go through my case from the beginning, discuss it with the MDT and come up with a plan. Things he is thinking

Will Existing Drugs Stop Cancer's Bone Spread? I don't know but it's driving me crazy!
Just because I cannot know which are the two repurposed drugs that seem to have such great results with metastasis. The chief researcher is Neta Erez who has great reputation in research about bone metastasis. I am inclined to think about Ivermectin as one of the possible components of the cocktail,

Afraid to go to the bathroom!!
Iāve been dealing with constipation issues for the past year. I can only attribute it to gettin older - never had any problems before that. I wonāt go into the details of what I have tried - Iāve taken lots of great hints from videos and forums; a lot of it seems to work - and then it doesnāt.

#1 Symptom Reducer
I am a PwP and 56 years old. I'm a bit overwhelmed with all of the information, sometimes conflicting, out there regarding treatments and supplements. I am trying to determine what to try first. I am a predominantly tremor parkie. I exercise regularly & eat well. I take levadopa 25/100 4x a day.

Ketogenic diet alters the epigenetic and immune landscape of prostate cancer to overcome resistance to immune checkpoint blockade therapy.
Overall, this strikes me as too hypothetical for us to apply, but what do I know? "Overall, these findings illuminate a potential clinical path of using HDACi and optimized KD regimens to enhance ICB therapy for PCa." HDACi = histone deacetylase inhibitor [To date, four HDAC inhibitors, Vorinostat

ADT and crying
Does anyone else that has been on ADT drugs for years have trouble with tears or crying for no real reason? I tear up anymore at just the thought of something sad. Itās a major pain in the ass, not to mention embarrassing because I am still employed. Wondering if there is a solution other than stopping

PSA SCREEN VS SYMPTOMATIC
My current PSA test is called PROSTATE SPC AG, SCREEN. My previous PSA test from the same lab was called PROSTATE SPC AG, SYMPTOMATIC. Both labs were off the same order from my MO. Whats the difference?

Nagalase count
My nagalase count is declining. 1.55 -1.37 - 1.12 today. The Clioquinol +zinc +ivermicetin is still working on the way to zero. PSA is steady at 32 Nagalase is an enzyme that cancer cells produce to protect themselves from the immune system.

Provenge criteria necessary for acceptance.
Apparently Medicare will pay for Provenge provided we are castrate resistant and metastatic. But are there other requirements like certain PSA parameters and lower testosterone levels? Do we have to remain on ADT while being treated with Provenge?
