Trying to think optomistic
Well I am trying to think positive I have had a message for a telephone appointment with the GI consultant next Wednesday 20th March . Telephone appt and not to attend the hospital. SO putting on my optimistic 🤞🤞🤞🤞 outlook I am hopeful that nothing majorly worrying has been found in the biopsies

I had the
biopsy
done which was a real joy, since there was no anesthetic and it turned out I was a Gleason nine. The PC had metastasized to my back and ribs and shoulders according to the bone scan. My PSA was 108.

folate dropping
I have been injecting since July 2023, thanks to you all, I knew to check my ferritin when I felt something else was off…since no doctor thought it necessary. It was 14. Now I am on iron supplements. My folate has always been >24. However, since starting the iron, my folate has dropped to 15 (still

Just Beginning...
All tests were clear except the
Biopsy
which confirmed GCA. My day to day functioning has plummeted further so that I am behaving as a very ill person when I am only 56 and feel otherwise well.

Need help understanding Enzalutamide
His history…diagnosed with
biopsy
in 2009…1 of 12 core samples with small amount of cancer. 3+3 with a PSA of 8. He decided to watch and wait. Reality, he waited but would not have any part of watching. In 2021, he and his GP thought he had kidney stones with extreme pain.

Gallstones are actually a hernia/ulcers
Hi everyone, hope you are all as well as you can be. I had my endoscopy this week to see if they could find the suspected gallstones. Instead they found a large hiatus hernia, plus multiple stomach ulcers. This explains why I have been in so much pain, in a constant state of nausea, and off work for

Endometrial build up on right uterine wall
I had a hysteroscopy and laparoscopy two weeks ago and currently waiting for results of biopsies . I just got a letter about what he found during surgery and he said there was an endometrial build up on right uterine wall. Does anyone know what this means ? He didn't mention this to me in person. When

Psma-pet scan results
PCa Warriors: I am on Active Surveillance(AS )with one core GL6 at 10%. I am part of a clinical trial that uses PSMA-pet scan to track progression. I guess the goal is to catch progression early and maybe avoid biopsies. The results are given below. Two things grabbed my attention from the report.

Serious and Funny Quotes from the Oncology Team
It could be something else and we will have to wait for the
biopsy
. (Why did you get our hopes up with infected lymph nodes) 6. Same day urologist number one gives a digital rectal, and says"You don't have cancer" 7.

Queries made with NHS
4: Why assume enlarged lymph nodes are cancerous without a
biopsy
? My tumour reduced from 9cm to 2.5cm and I have read that lymph nodes can become enlarged when disposing of waste material from radiotherapy. Is this true? 5: No metastases.

Any advice or thoughts appreciated! Trying to keep cirrhosis in check despite hospitalization for very serious pneumonia
The did a ton of tests, including a bronchial
biopsy
. After one week they still didn’t know what I had exactly, but that it was pneumonia and they started IV antibiotics. After another week and a half they discovered it is a very rare fungal infection.

My liver
biopsy
confirmed metastatic disease. My liver surgeon successfully performed microwave ablation. Due to the potential side effects, I reluctantly started on Ibrance with Letrozole 2 days ago. I stumbled across this group when searching for Ibrance side effects so I joined.

Sigmoidoscopy
Hi Had a sigmoidoscopy on Saturday, which I had under sedation, I found it a bit uncomfortable. Diverticulosis found, which I already knew about from a colonoscopy a few years ago. Biopsies taken. Yesterday bowel felt fine, however today I am in quite a bit of lower bowel pain. Just wondering why I

firstly thank you so much for all your comments because you gave me the confidence to start the rifamixin course. I am now on day 5 of 3 x 550gm tabs daily for 10 days. Yesterday was my first fairly ok day in ages so I’m beginning to hope I may get some relief, which will be wonderful. My gastro report
