Need a different sleep aide
I don't want to take
benzodiazepines
as I took clonazepam for decades which no longer worked in the end so I doubt they would work. Is there any medicine that not only lets you fall asleep immediately but lasts at least 7 hours?

GABA noerotransmiters and OCD
It works in similar ways to
benzodiazepines
with fewer side effects!! Also works better then all SSRIs I've tried. And side effects were intolerable any more. Only takes an hour to work! Been taking it for three days now. I'm calm, collected, clear and focused. Can't see a down side.

Pluvicto works but at what cost
I’m on palliative care and don’t really take pain meds since bone pain decreased but can’t get any sleep without
benzodiazepines
. Almost 10 years optimistically fighting this and maybe hospice care is the next best step.

CBD as a replacement for lorazepam
has anyone on here tried to use CBD to help with a benzodiazepine tolerance and eventually eliminating the need for
benzodiazepines
altogether? If so please tell me all about it please ❤️

Natural Remedies
Has anyone here had any success with natural herbs or supplements in place of
benzodiazepines
? My psych doc has reduced my clonazepam to 15 pills for 2 months. I’m over it and looking for natural remedies. I’d appreciate any feedback or other self help remedies that have worked for anxiety.

Has anyone used Alpha Logic Acid, or L Tyrosine to treat RLS/PLMD.
I was on the
Benzodiazepines
for a total of four years, after exhausting all other RLS treatments. Mine is very debilitating. ****I have since moved on to Oycodone 5 mg every six hours, it is working well so far. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thank You! .

Cirrhosis, HE and lorazepam
I’m sure I read somewhere that any
benzodiazepines
shouldn’t be taken and could bring on an HE episode.

Benzodiazepines
: These medications can help promote relaxation and improve sleep, but they are generally only used for short-term relief. Examples include clonazepam (Klonopin) and diazepam (Valium).

Experiences with getting off of Benzodiazepines?
Has anyone been treated with
benzodiazepines
for sleeplessness and managed to get off of them again? He is scared of addiction and won't take them, which means nights are not manageable for either of us. Thanks for your help!

Medications for RLS recommendations
He mentioned on my last visit that he doesn't think the Gabepentin would be the drug that I should stay on but recommended
benzodiazepines
. After looking them up they sound as if they might be addictive too. He also finally ordered the right Ferritin test after ordering regular iron.

RSL and clonazepam
This has worked for me for years but I certainly worry about the addictive nature of
benzodiazepines
. But I’m not giving it up. I’m 73 now and I will take it for as long as it works. I feel for anyone who cannot find an answer for this horrible condition.

I no longer know what is anxiety and what is my real problem
I suffered from anxiety most of my life and had long periods addicted to
benzodiazepines
, breakdowns, and lots of stress, and since 1995 atrial fibrillation.

When Anxiety Strikes
. • Tricyclic antidepressant • Selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor • Nonselective monoamine oxidase inhibitors (Note: Increased risk for hypertension when taken with levodopa •
Benzodiazepines
(Note:)ss) High dosages can worsen parkinsonian symptoms) • Busiprone Remember: Anxiety is a common

Just wondering what the consensus is here on the long term use of one of the
benzodiazepines
such as klonopin, Ativan or Xanax for anxiety and depression. If you have experienced favorable or unfavorable and at what dosage. I find them very helpful but I know the threat of addiction. Any thoughts?

Two types of drugs you may want to avoid for the sake of your brain: Anticholinergic drugs and Benzodiazepines
Benzodiazepines
boost another neurotransmitter's effectiveness. They make gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA)—which slows the activity of neurons in the brain-—more potent. For that reason, they are used to calm anxiety and help people sleep. Thanks SilentEchoes

Can't solve real bad anxiety issues. Meds out there?
Right of the bat I can't take
benzodiazepines
. They just don't agree with me, and I need something to take every day, like the concept of taking an ssri (not "as needed"). I'm on one ssri (trintellix).
