Seems Lorazepam is a bad choice?

LORAZEPAM vs other Benzodiazepines.
Very interesting article on that study. Thanks for sharing. Although they do state this needs more investigating it looks like alprazolam, diazepam, and temazepam might be better choices than lorazepam, clonazepam, nordiazepam, or oxazepam. My husband was prescribed lorazepam and then switched to clonazapam when his anxiety was interfering with sleep. He doesn’t use either one now but if he needs it again we will inquire about Xanax (alprazolam) instead.
I take lorazepam and found this positive article (NIH) which refers to prostate cancer rather than pancreatic. ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articl...
Interesting. My previous GP refused to renew my lorazepam prescription citing DEA issues or whatever. He left the practice. My new female GP prescribed it without a 2nd thought. I only use it for occasional insomnia. 30 pills can last a year. That previous GP also refused my request for a metformin prescription. What a dick. New GP had no problem prescribing that either. And this guy wanted me to follow him to his new practice? Fat chance of that.
"A new study has revealed that pancreatic cancer patients who take the benzodiazepine lorazepam (Ativan), commonly prescribed to treat anxiety during disease treatment, have shorter progression-free survival than those who do not take it."
I take lorazepam for occasional insomnia. I don't plan to change.
