Malecare newsletter reports Finish study glucocorticoids (e.g. prednisone, prednisolone, dexamethasone) can lead to castrate resistance

Waiting for me to die
Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this. Sometimes i get the feeling that friends and family members are waiting for me to die. I was diagnosed stage 4b metastasis in January 2021 and have been on treatment Lupron and Xtandi since April 2021 3 years now. From an outward appearance I don't

Curious what you think?
Background: I have to take my wife for all her appointments - doctors, hair, etc. Her MO who treats her blood cancer seemed like a good doctor but I know nothing about blood cancer. So I went to her with my records for a consult with the idea it would be easier and less hassle if we could get appointments

PSA rising
Two months ago, husband’s PSA was .23, last month .20, yesterday .27. MO wants to watch and see what it is next month. Husband diagnosed 9/23, finished 6 rounds chemo on 2/21, is on Zytiga and Orgovyx currently. Concerned about the rise in PSA, would like input. Thank you.

Rise in PSA and extra Eligard Injection
My psa has risen from <0.01 in Feb to 0.04 in April to 0.27 in July then 0.41 this week. I had a CT and full body scan on Tuesday, which according to my MO, who I saw today, showed no ‘hotspots’. Because my PCa metastasised to 4 places in 2016 when first diagnosed, I had radiation to the prostate followed

What's next?
Surgery, pelvic and prostate bed radiation. 2 years zytiga/lupron. PSA <0.04 for 2 years. Radiation oncologist agrees with 2 MO no scans till PSA rises. 2 MO say no more treatment unless PSA rises. What is best next treatment if needed? Nervous not being proactive. Both MOs agreed only 2 years lupron.

PSA and Testosterone update
My PSA increased after 6 weeks to 0.04 but my T dropped to 8.87 not sure how to think of this. I had no expectation, so it is what it is. Plan is my MO will give me a PSMA scan if a I get to 2.0 PSA. These numbers are so small that I know that they are meaningless at this point but I would still

looking for encouraging Pluvicto results
Hello fellow warriors, I know there have been posts of Pluvicto both helping and failing. I am now awaiting a PSMA PET scan to discuss possibly doing Pluvicto. I was diagnosed in 2018 at 46 years old with mets to about 5 spots in the bones. I have been on ADT since the beginning. I was on Zytiga then

1/2 way through Xofigo with Apaludamide increasingly ineffective. PSA is declining. MO tells me Xofigo not the cause.
Hello all. 18 months since diagnosed stage 4 metastatic PC. Mets almost everywhere. PSA was 512 at diagnosis. Apaludamide/Trelstar combo lowered PSA to 0.60. Began to climb again April this year and Xofigo was suggested. I've now completed 3 of 6 treatments. Told Xofigo isn't to reduce PSA by my MO

My first PSA after HT reporting confusion
I’ve just finish 19 months of Zoladex and RT to prostate only (localised G9 / PSMA/CT clear no evidence of SV involvement with PSA 6) My usual lab have been reporting my PSA as <0.01 ug/L since RT 18 months ago. My first 3 month testosterone is 0.8 nmol/L (23 ng/dL) and my PSA <0.03 ! Why is it

At what PSA will a PSMA PET scan be useful?
Hi everyone My father has been on Lupron for 3 years now. We stopped Abi last year due to rising blood sugar levels. His PSA used to hover between 0.6-0.8 (with an occasional spike to 1.2). PSA in May 24 was 0.6. Today, however, his PSA came back as 2.5. Plan is to restart Abi and monitor. But I wanted

Recurrent prostate cancer at 5 months after radical prostatectomy, with psa up to 0.2. PSMA and MRI negative. Now on Leuprolide and Nubeqa.
My Gleason was 9. Incontinence has been an issue since the RP and even though it has improved still leaked around 30 ml a day. Delaying radiation that I was recommended by one institution but some Oncologists say to delay radiation for more recovery. Even though my PSA is 0.01 on the meds, i worry

What does it mean?
I'm slightly embarrassed to be asking strangers on the internet, but I'm a little frustrated by the lack of information given by the doctors. My dad (63) just got diagnosed - Gleason score 8 - and after a new scan they've concluded there's two mets - one in the pelvic lymph node and one in the seminal

Theres

Need Advice
I recently completed 23 radiation treatments of EBRT at Cedars Siani in LA for recurrent prostate Cancer. The cancer was in a lymph node near the prostate gland. My RO has informed me that we will check PSA in November to see if the treatments were successful. I mentioned doing a PSMA Pet Scan in addition

Neuroendocrine cancer % in APC patients is not rare, it’s becoming common.
How do we help men, on this site, to reduce their chances of getting NEPC? I did a PSMA PET scan today. My blood tests looked pretty normal with psa at .5 and other tested looking like they usually do, except for blood glucose, which is normally in the 93-99 range for the past five years, but was 76
