3rd Rituximab Infusion One to Go!
They used
Benadryl
and Tylenol prior to treatment. 10 minutes into the treatment, my whole body was drenched in sweat. The infusion was stopped, dexamethasone, a steroid was added, my immune system calmed down and the slow drip began again.

ER visit reaction
I’ve took this medicine in tablet form before and I’ve got treated for allergy through IV with Pepcid and
Benadryl
before but never had this reaction. Is there a difference between
Benadryl
iv push and
Benadryl
iv slow drip? Was it preservatives in the slow drip?

Can’t blame pred this time; it’s something else.
I was so itchy that I took a
Benadryl
before going to bed. Well it turns out The culprit is sucralose.(Splenda) Next morning I felt so unwell: the trots, high sweats dizzy. I decided to do a literature search. There’s been a lot of anecdotal reports of the things I’ve described.

Options for PBC Itch?
Hello, I have had PBC for years with progressive itch. I am an "incomplete" responder to Urso and Ocaliva (on both). I take Cholestyramine but in the past year the itching has gotten significantly worse where I scratch all night, am scaring up my arms and legs and tear the dead dry skin off the soles

Sleep
Benadryl
helps me get 8 hours of sleep. Otherwise, I am awake after 4 hours and it takes several days to get back to feeling okay.

Tapering while suffering with shingles?
I am now on antivirals, some paracetamol, lidocaine patch and
Benadryl
. At the dose of 12, and no PMR symptoms at all for many months on much lower doses, will I be allowed to taper down to 11 1/2 at this time?

Was taking
Benadryl

Crazy Poison Ivy rash
I've searched our site and don't seem to find any posts about a topic that has quickly become of interest to me - reaction to poison ivy. Does CLL make it harder for my body to heal itself? I thought at 67 I was not someone who reacted, since I'd never had inkling of a reaction in my life. Obviously

Does MS amplify pain?
So I foolishly stepped on a wasp Friday morning. I had to pull the wasp off the bottom of my foot, the soft insole part. (Yep, should have worn shoes!) My question is could MS make my reaction worse? I had no itching and only a little swelling, but the pain was incredible! My foot felt like it was on

Change in plans - looks like neuroendocrine
Two weeks later, I had a second reaction despite additional precautions (oral decadron 3 days prior, IV
Benadryl
and Decadron immediately prior to chemo, half flow-rate of chemo), and this time, in only 5 minutes. I was told that if they restarted the chemo, I would stop breathing (anaphylaxis).

Wasp stings and PMR?
Made a paste of meat tenderizer and placed atop of each sting for 20 mins, then ice for 15’, followed by 1% hydrocortisone cream, and took
Benadryl
. Was able to hold the swelling & redness to a minimum. My lip still stings a little, the rest just itch like crazy.

Another round of Ocrevus today - piece of cake
Benadryl
put me to sleep, waiting for the steroid kick-in tomorrow. Glad that everything lined up - the vaccine, then waiting then infusion at 9 months after the previous one. I do feel lucky to have access to such good care. wishing my fellow ms-ers the same.

MCAS plus other weird symptoms?
Benadryl
does help control it, but I don’t know if it’s because it blocks the histamine, or just has an effect on the central nervous system. Has anyone else experienced this, or just being worse in the morning in general? What have you done to feel better?
