Benlysta Treatment Lowers Disease Activity for SLE Patients, Real-world Data Shows
“At present,
belimumab
is frequently used as the last option in SLE treatment. Based on our data, we suggest that an earlier use of
belimumab
in patients with active SLE may maximize its efficacy,” they concluded.

Greetings from a newbie
I was also asked if I wanted to participate in a trial for
Belimumab
(Benlysta). I’d read of this drug and the feedback seemed very positive, so I jumped at this chance. As with most trials, the only downside was that I could be trialling the REAL thing OR just a PLACEBO! But I was up for it.

Antidepressants and Biologics??
Hey guys, first post here. Good to know there’s a community for this stuff as I’m sure if you’ve all had to deal with a ton of stuff over the last little while. I’m wondering if anyone has had any problems getting their antidepressants to work while they’ve been on a biologic? I went on Avanza (antidepressants

Are you due to receive a biologic therapy in the next two weeks? Would you be happy to appear on TV?
To be eligible to take part in the show you must;
•Be aged 18+ and live in the UK
• Have an appointment to receive an infusion treatment of a biologic drug (ie. rituximab,
, Humira etc) between 30/09/19 and 11/10/19

Fatigue in patients with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is real.
Study results also showed
belimumab
effectively relieved fatigue. Patients receiving
belimumab
for six months to 36 months saw a significant decline in their levels of anti-NR2 antibodies, as well as a clinically significant drop in their fatigue scores.

Anyone used Belimumab to suppress their APS?
My new rheumatologist mentioned Rituximab (which I had a bad experience w/ in 2006), Plaquenil, and
Belimumab
as possible drugs to suppress my Lupus Anticoagulant. Anyone heard of it or tried it? https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3198539/
