What Treatment - Or No Treatment Advice?
I am interested in what would be advised for a fit and active almost 78-year-old, In NED from stage 4 UTUC upper tract urothelial carcinoma. Initial prognosis 6 - 9 months in April 2017. Now only one kidney (GFR 42) No other co-morbidities. Good BMI. Never smoker or drinker. Not on any medication

PSA still low but cancer progressing
I've been on ADT plus Xtandi for about a year (see my profile) and my PSA has steadily reduced and stayed low. However, my latest CT scan shows that the tumours on my bones and lymph nodes are increasing in size and there are now a few small lesions appearing in my liver for the first time. Not the news

Whole pelvic radiation after testicular cancer?
My husband is 63, dx Oct/2022 with PSA of ~11 and all twelve cores positive with GL 8 and mostly 9’s (4+5). He had SVI, PNI, and probable ECE, but PSMA PET showed no spread. He’s being treated at UCHealth/Denver CO at their urologic cancer center. His treatment consisted of 39 radiation sessions +

Had my REMS scan today
Excellent session and good news - REMS shows that I don’t have osteoporosis even though DXA says I did! I am osteopenic which is what I suspected and why I wanted the scan. Advice was to manage with diet and exercise which I am all in favour of and no intention of ever going on the drugs. Dr was very

QOL Arm wrestling
I am almost 3 months into the Body by Science workouts suggested by (Paul) Mateo Beach. I find my energy level remains high and with the exception of some brain fog and minor emotional mood swings I continue to be avoiding most of the ADT side effects. The essence of the program is very slow lifts

"Your thyroid's fine"...what do you think?
Hi. I've been told by a GP that my thyroid is fine. I don't think it is. I'd be grateful for your opinions. Like many others here, I'm fed up with Dr.s saying it's my age, the menopause, or there's nothing wrong. Medichecks results: May 23 Thyroglobulin Antibodies: 423.000 kIU/L (Range: <115

I just started hormone therapy about a month ago on orgovyx pills. They're telling me today I need to stay on this for 2 years. Why so long?

Advice on halting bone loss following Dexa and hrt or other supplements.
Thyroid cancer at 23, high dose T4 requiring propranolol for 17 years, then battles over dosage post menopause as rules changed. T3, when measured, always seemed to be at a good level. I didn't take HRT as it was at the height of the cancer scare. I regret it now. Sjogrens and very low vitamin D diagnosed

Treatment Comparison Tool
Hi All, I stumbled across this prostate treatment comparison tool which seems to be a pretty reasonable method based on a lot of data that could help those of us struggling to know what treatment to have. https://www.prostatecancerfree.org/compare-prostate-cancer-treatments-high-risk/ I listed the

Degarelix and increased diabetes risk?
My husband had his first Degarelix injection last week. I have been reading that men who get ADT have an increased risk of diabetes. Just wondering because he had a blood test today, and his glucose was high. Diabetes runs in his family as his father, brother and sisters all had/have diabetes. Both father
