Hypo and palpitations
Has anyone had palpitations with hypothyroid? Was diagnosed hypo in early Jan and palpitations started late Jan. They've been off and on since then. Have weeks where they happen frequently then weeks when they completely go. Since Thursday they've been almost constant. It's not a racing heart beat, more

Warning: there are medical issues towards the end of this post! Started training for this at the beginning of the year. Since I was already running HMs, that was plenty of time. However, due to a mixture of icy weather, colds and a ski trip, I didn't follow the plan too closely. Also, Strava’s fitness

Heart Failure
Hi all, it’s been very helpful reading your posts, I have recently been diagnosed with LBBB ( Left Bundle Branch Blockage) initially I wasn’t to worried, I was put on BP meds & beta blockers and was told I needed more investigation via an echocardiogram. The echo showed that I have LVSD with an EF

Could my symptoms be caused by angina ?
Brief cardiac history , I have had a pacemaker since 2020, I had pericarditis and an effusion due to post procedure complications , thankfully now recovered fully from that after many months . I keep having a very tight sensation all across my chest and central chest pain plus feeling breathless pretty

Shingles vaccine! Which one??
Hi, my wife has MF and a year ago suffered from Shingles, which still causes a little itching around the back of the head where the blisters were. She has been offered a vaccination against shingles, by her GP. There are two available, one is a live vaccine the other isn't. As she doesn't have a spleen

Today we had official test in clinic, blood draw. They wanted to see Beta HCG over 300mIU/mL, it came at 1900mIU/mL and they told us that we are “very pregnant”. I’ll have another blood test on Wednesday (48h) and they want to see 66% increase and then ultrasound in about 10 days. So far - looks good

My first post
This is my first post, as recommended by the MSAA Community. I live in England, so a British MS group covers me. It is the MS Society, and I've joined in on a couple of walks to raise money for them. I've even done an interview on TV about my MS, though it was quite early in the morning and I know a

Flu Vaccine Study - call for participants
People living with conditions linked to chronic liver disease have higher rates of serious illness from flu. However, this group also tends to have lower rates of flu vaccine uptake. Researchers from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine are looking for people to take part into a study

On Easter Sunday I attended church with my wife and about midway through mass I started to get a tight sensation in the middle of my chest. At first I thought it was just a bit of nasty heartburn and waited for it to pass, but the pain got worse and started to feel like something was being forced into

Hmmmm...
So while I was waiting for my echocardiogram I developed severe pain in my chest and back, which when I told the technician about, resulted in me being rushed down to triage to be checked out. Spent several hours in emergency getting blood tests, ecg and chest xrays ... and waiting waiting waiting.

Cardiac or respiratory symptoms ? Going on for almost a week
Since last Thursday I’ve been having lots of left sided chest pain and tightness , feeling more breathless than usual . I did go to ED to be checked over , ecg etc all fine , they ruled out a blood clot so all good . Today I’m still having all the symptoms , having a stitch type pain near to my pacemaker

New diagnosis
Christmas Eve saw me admitted to a&e with a severe migraine (something I have suffered with since a teenager). I had all the normal ones done as well as an ECG. The ECG picked up an abnormal heart rate for someone of my age and the doctor send a letter to my GP asking to refer me for an echocardiogram
