Aortic Valve Replacement Monitoring
I had a surgical aortic valve replacement (tissue valve) in June and I have been lucky enough to have an uneventful recovery. I opted for private surgery because long waits and lack of communication from the NHS was causing me such stress and anxiety and recently retired I had savings I could use.

I am currently 7.5 weeks pregnant.. my first ultrasound was vaginally at 5 weeks 4 days due to some pain, and all ways measuring normal- the sac was seen in the right location, no baby yet. Next ultrasound was vaginally at 7 weeks on the dot, and I was measuring 6 weeks, fetal pole was detected and heartbeat

Thoughts please! (HCG/no symptoms)
Hi, Polling opinions because I am a control freak! I am 6 weeks and 1 day today. Scan next Thursday. My HCG was doubling nice right up until last Monday with the reading at 4377. I didn’t bother to test after Monday (more due to my work schedule) on Wednesday, I had a slight headache, and mild discomfort

anxious about CAD - MRI result
Hi all, Does anyone know if a cardiac MRI would pick up coronary heart disease , or at least see some part of the arteries? I’m awaiting a CT scan with dye to look into CAD, but my consultant thinks it’s unlikely as I’m 32 , I am overweight and an ex-smoker so I do have some risk factors. My cardiac

I’ve had a rollercoaster over the last 24hrs I went to the toilet last night had a gush and passed a clot, scooped it up out the toilet as you do, slight cramping tests have been getting darker everyday, called my clinic they weren’t bothered said just to wait until my 7wk scan, I was feeling quite

*Sensitive* - Missed miscarriage at 9 week scan, looking for hope and direction
Hello ,Firstly, I hope you are all okay. I haven't posted for a while but just feel the need to share and seek some light at a dark time After transferring our 5th and final embryo from our first round of ICSI (due to severe male factor issues), we were overjoyed to find out that at last we had a positive

Strange interaction with Private Health System..?
I had an ecg which my gp flagged up as indicating some problem with my heart. They even sent a paramedic to my home to check I was ok. I feel ok, sometimes a but breathless, occasionally dizzy, but better now I am taking statins and aspirin.Anyway, I made an appt with NHS cardiology. Earliest was next

When do i start letrozole after an early miscarriage?
Hello As the title suggests I was wondering when to resume letrozole after a miscarriage which ended during the 5th week. My bloods were done and I was informed hcg has dropped to normal levels. I've been having some issues with my clinic so trying to avoid ringing them until they ring me. Experiences

Introducing myself
Hi, I'm new to the forum and thought I'd share a brief summary of how I ended up here. It's hard to say exactly when my symptoms started but in 2019, when I was 62, I found myself so persistently lacking in energy that I decided I should mention it to a doctor. The first doctor I saw did some blood

Do GP’s or Consultants in the UK accept Kardia readings?
Debating on ordering a kardia device to capture a fluttering palpitation feeling rather than waiting another 7 months for an ecg.I wondered if in the UK our GPs or consultants accept the readings…

8dpt predict
Hi, im frustrating during 2WW 6dpt: very very light double line 7dpt: sometimes negative sometimes similar as 6dpt 8dpt(today): negative Does it mean it’s over? Coz usually either negative or double line becomes deeper, as I know HCG can’t fluctuate, thanks!

Omron PM monitor detecting irregular heartbeat and Afib
I've recently discovered the I have grade 1 hypertension and I am waiting a few months to see if lifestyle changes helps lower it. I bought myself an Omron M7 Intelli IT bp monitor and it regularly detects that I have an irregular heart beat. I decided to try the Afib mode and it detected that I may

Query Heart Attack
So I had some serious palpitations back in January, which took me into hospital, no signs of heart attack except slightly elevated blood clotting, so went on thinners for 4 days(only!) Took myself to gp lots of tests and a 24hr ecg and months later being told its just down to low iron and nothing serious

hi all i tested 5 and 4 days before my otd with cheap stick and clear blue early detect and came back strong negative on both tests on both days. Since then I had brown spotting that came and went. Do you think it might have been too early to detect hcg? Can implantation happen that late? I have a 1
