This is my 4th transfer (second FET); I started testing using FRERs on 5dpt and surprisingly got a very faint positive on 6dpt. Cautiously happy until today when I had my bloods done, was hoping for a 3-digit figure, or a high 2-digit even!
Looking for success stories or people on the same timeline / in the same boat to chat with as I swiftly lose my mind!

I know it's worrying but the starting number isn't as important as the consistent rise - are you getting the bloods repeated? I've had higher starting numbers at 5dpt that weren't successful in the end and working back, lower ones that were. Also, if you got a faint BFP on a FRER at 6dpt it could have been around 10, double to 20 at 8dpt so 42 would be double again and on track.
Yes my clinic made me test every two days…it was horrible! And actually at the time I told them not to tell me my numbers because I found it so stressful. I now know that my numbers were very low and slow to rise and barely doubling! BUT YES…we had a beautiful baby girl!! My doctor did put me on dexmethasone and extra instralipids to help in early pregnancy. Can you ask your doctor about this? Will you retest today?
Aww thank you for your story! Yes, I just went for my second beta and hope to hear back by 1pm today.. I will ask about dexmethasone and extra instralipid (never been on them). I am currently on prednisolone, clexane, estrogen and progesterone.
good luck I know it’s so stressful waiting for the numbers. Also I spelt intralipid wrong above but it’s basically soya and egg I think - it’s a bit bizarre but it’s supposed to help suppress your immune system to alllw the embryo to implant properly. Let me know how you get on!
hey VeeVee. I’m not sure what the numbers would like in an ectopic but I do think not all pregnancies follow the typical HCG pattern. Just imagine in all of the natural pregnancies they don’t even check these numbers! What have the clinic said?
I am holding onto your happy stories tearing up.. My clinic is in Prague, I have messaged them for advice. I have also reached out to my NHS doctor who's doing my bloods privately so get her advice.
I have no symptoms at all which doesn't help. It is so true, in a normal pregnancy, the numbers will be irrelevant! I'm 12dpt now, so I feel like it may be quite late for it to turn around?
